Our 16U Black squad battled through the Buckeye Wood Bat Classic and came away with a 3-1-1 weekend — and they earned every bit of it. Wood bat ball rewards discipline and barrels, and top to bottom this lineup competed in every at-bat.
A few standouts from the weekend 👇
🔴 Kaito Taketani #6 (@) — a two-way clinic: .636 at the plate with the team’s only home run, plus 9 strikeouts and a 1.10 ERA on the mound.
🔴 Eric Culbertson #1 (@) — a little of everything: .500, 5 RBI, 5 stolen bases, and a win on the bump.
🔴 Logan Cool #34 (@) — 2 wins pitching plus a .455 bat with 5 RBI.
🔴 Jackson Colbert #5 (@) — on base all weekend (.647 OBP) and a team-high 9 runs scored.
🔴 Isaac Sowers #16 (@) — locked in at the plate, .500 with 4 big RBI.
🔴 Anderson Skiles #3 (@) — a spotless 0.00 ERA and the team’s only save.
