Busy weekend for the Michigan Chapter of the American Nephrology Nurses Association! Yesterday we were in Mexicantown in Southwest Detroit educating on the effects of sugary drinks to the children and their families. We even educated Detroit Tiger's Paws, Detroit Pistons' Hooper, and Michigan State's Sparty! Our President Gerardo Infante and President Elect Tanisha Franklin held it down!

Nephrology nurses, your voice matters! ANNA is actively at the table, helping to draft responses to the newly proposed Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Proposed Rules for the End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Prospective Payment System (PPS) and Quality Incentive Program (QIP). We are fighting for fair payment models and meaningful quality measures that protect both our profession and the patients with kidney disease. In addition to ANNA's response letter we are working with Kidney Care Partners and The Alliance for Home Dialysis in their response letters.
