We have another THANK YOU!

Today, JoAnne, the Chapter Coordinator for Project Linus of Albany and Rensselaer Counties, New York brought us these eleven gorgeous quilts for our kids. - Aren't they beautiful!?

We are incredibly grateful to her and to the Project Linus volunteers who gave of their time and of themselves to craft these. These were made as part of the Avila Community Quilting Project by residents of the Avila Retirement Community.

The kids are going to LOVE them! (We already do. 🥰)

Woo Hoo!! Joanne from Project Linus of Albany and Rensselaer Counties, New York just showed up with 35 handmade blankets for our kids!! Fleece, crocheted, quilts - a smorgasbord of soft, comfy, beautiful blankets! Thank you SO much!

We are so excited to announce that we are the recipient of a mini Grant given by the Lansingburgh School District. We will use the money to continue the community service program run in the eight Fifth grades.

We're featured in the local paper!

LANSINGBURGH, N.Y. — During October. and early November, the fifth-graders in Mrs. Figiel's class at Rensselaer Park Elementary crossed paths with Project Linus.

Project Linus working with the Fifth graders at Rensselaer Park Elementary School Jan.-June 2019. All blankets made were donated to the Community Hospice's Camp Erin, a camp for grieving children and teens.

It is with great excitement that we announce two very generous donations from local businesses. The Stewart's Holiday Match program gave Project Linus $1,000 and the WGY Christmas Wish Campaign sent a check for $500. Both of these donations will help this Project Linus chapter purchase fleece fabric for the making of no-sew blankets for the needy and sick children in our community. We will also be able to enlist the help of college and elementary school students in the making of these blankets. We are thankful to these two businesses for their generosity!
