Just a reminder of the free public events this weekend, April 10 & 11, to honor the 60th anniversary of the heroic sacrifice of Airman 1st Class William H. Pitsenbarger, a Piqua native.

Events include a free screening of the movie “The Last Full Measure”, ceremony at Pitsenbarger Park and a gravesite ceremony with flyover

We’re helping to raise funds for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library- a free program for kids to receive a book in the mail each month from birth until age 5 (that’s 60 books). Your donation stays local to support the program in Miami County!

You can get your picture “with Dolly” on Tuesday, March 3rd from 4-6pm at Crooked Handle- Piqua. Join the Piqua Rotary Club & Andrea from the Troy-Miami County Public Library to learn more about the Imagination Library of Miami County-Ohio & how you can support it locally! (Over 1,000 kids in Piqua receive free books as part of the program!)

Last week's tour of the Miami County downtown jail, which is the county’s maximum security facility.

The County Commissioners are hosting public tours of the downtown facility. Check out the Board of Miami County Commissioners - OHIO page for upcoming dates!

Just a reminder our Piqua Rotary Club meeting on Tuesday, February 3 is off site at the Miami County Jail in downtown Troy!

Get a first hand look at current jail conditions & operations challenges in preparation for the upcoming May ballot to vote for a proposed sales tax increase to fund a new jail.

The PHS Show Choir will be performing tomorrow (Tuesday, December 16) at Crooked Handle Brewery in Piqua at 12:30 pm. This is an annual holiday event and all are welcome to drop in and catch the performance. If you're not already in the holiday spirit, you will be after hearing this talented group of high school students sing treasured carols and show off their fancy footwork. A pizza and salad buffet lunch can be purchased on site at Crooked Handle for $10 per person. Let us know if you plan to join so we have plenty of seating available. Glenna Fulks

The Piqua Show Choir will be performing (after a short meeting) one of their last holiday performances of the year. If you’ve never seen The Company perform- you don’t want to miss this!

Lunch is $10 - please DM or comment your RSVP if you aren’t a Piqua Rotary club member so we can have a good headcount for food!

The Beautification Committee did a fantastic job in planning the holiday decorations downtown!! We were happy to help be a part of setting it all up. Be sure to check out Christmas on the Green downtown this Friday evening!

A HUGE Thank you to this morning's volunteers who helped prepare the festive planter decorations. It was SO COLD, but we powered through.
