Here is an update as to the event me and Chris did tonight with the Holocaust Doll, and the young girl who made it her safe place, 10 year old Caroline. After going over this event in our heads and talking about it, I got a very strong feeling that I needed to speak to Anne and Margot when I got home to confirm what I heard and what we thought we heard and they did just that. Caroline’s father said they were transported to Buchenwald concentration camp which we all heard. And Caroline said what I thought was Bergen but was not what was said, It was Birkenau. They confirmed that when they were taken to Buchenwald and her father then to Ohrdruf concentration camp, she was not with him. Young Caroline was separated from her father along with all the other children, put on a train to Auschwitz and straight from the ramp, the Angel of Death, Dr Josef Mengele sent her and hundreds of other children straight to the gas chambers. When that happened, they were not given numbers nor documented. One of the hundreds of thousands of children who we will never know her full name. Caroline is still with them. Margot said “she is with the girls”

This will be the very first time we have ever worked with a doll. From 1930’s France, to War torn Germany during the Second World War and the Holocaust, what journey did this doll take? Why is there such a potent energy that resides inside. Who owned her, more importantly what became of the family that owned her? Otto stated there is an entire family tied to this doll. When asked if this doll has attachments from the Holocaust, Anne said yes! Was it a French Jewish family? Was it a German family? With the package in somewhat good condition, I am inclined to believe that this doll was removed along with most of the Jewish possessions, after the family was executed in one of the many Ghettos and taken to Germany by the SS to be sold. There are a lot of questions to be asked tonight!

A friend has been having some bad dreams and believes its connected to this doll,and they wanted it out of there house,so its here and shes up in the garage attic with some other friends,so this coming weekend were gonna get it figured out she was made in the 1930s,and I'm quite sure she came from france so we shall see.
