Capital Region Community Action Network

Directions

Capital Region Community Action Network Capital Region CAN is a group dedicated to consolidating local social/enviro justice events in one ac

Capital Region CAN was started by a group of community members who recognized the need for a directory of local social and environmental justice organizations and events. Our goal is to help people get more involved in politics and the causes they support by bringing them together with the groups doing work in those areas. Our 'Events' page is where we list all of the events taking place in the Capital region and you can find a list of local organizations under the 'Likes' tab. If you are trying to get the word out about your group or event in the Capital Region please share it on our page!!! The Events list can assist Activists and Organizations when planning Action Events, using it to avoid overbooking by checking out what else is happening: when and where. Also, if your or someone you know prefers to use web-based calendars, please check out our friends at the Bernie Sanders Network:

Campaign for 50: Will you help us make preservation possible?

From the recent publication of our 2024 Endangered List (including the community-driven additions of the St. Rose Campus, Hudson River Day Line building, and the "Nipper Building" at 991 Broadway) to our nomination of local Historic District listing for the Holland Avenue Tudors, your contributions to HAF make preserving our city possible.

Will you help us fulfill our $50,000 goal to celebrate our 50th anniversary before our fiscal year ends this Saturday?
