Is there any food truck interest for the spring/summer?

Thank you to everyone who joined our Annual Homeowners Association Meeting on December 4. After thoughtful discussion, the association approved an annual dues amount of $110 going forward, which you will see on your dues statement in January.

In reaching this decision, participants considered the cost impact to members, the subdivision’s maintenance needs (parks, paths, medians, trees, and other common areas), and a desire to keep fees consistent rather than raising them year after year. After reviewing the budget, we confirmed it is focused on essential maintenance and operations—there is very little flexibility to reduce costs without impacting the quality and safety of our neighborhood. Based on current projections, we anticipate that setting dues at $110 will allow us to hold this rate for approximately the next five years, barring unforeseen costs or major repairs. We were pleased to note that our dues remain lower than typical assessments in comparable communities in Troy and across Michigan.

The discussion also highlighted that there is a significant amount of unpaid dues. While long‑term projections suggest our actual annual cost could exceed $120 per household by 2030, we agreed to try and recover past‑due balances to help close the gap. As such, this year’s dues notices will include a statement for any household with an unpaid balance, with instructions on how to resolve it.

Heads up, there was a fire on Bonito drive in the sub this morning. Quite a bit of smoke, but the fire was contained quickly by Troy FD. Fire trucks are completely blocking Bonito drive on both sides for now, and the north part of diamond and parts of Pearl. I talked to the police and the resident is okay. Thank you to the quick response from our Troy emergency services!

This email is to notify you that our Annual Homeowners Association Meeting will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 7:00 PM
Location: 2784 E. Square Lake Road, Troy, MI 48085
At this year’s meeting, the board will be proposing a dues increase, something we have not done in over 12 years—the last adjustment was in 2013. We’re proud that we’ve been able to maintain the same dues amount for more than a decade, especially during a time when costs for maintenance, landscaping, and essential services have steadily risen. The board has worked hard to remain cost-sensitive and stretch every dollar as far as possible, but to continue maintaining the quality and appearance of our neighborhood, an update is now necessary. We will be voting on a dues increase, with the proposed amount expected to fall between $95 and $120 annually depending on what services we decide to keep in the budget.
As a reminder, your HOA dues support the upkeep and improvement of the parks, walking paths, medians, trees, lawns, and other subdivision areas the association maintains. They also help fund communications and the necessary business operations of managing the subdivision effectively. Finally, dues support community events that help bring neighbors together.
Because our HOA is entirely volunteer-run, we rely on residents who are willing to step in and help keep the subdivision running smoothly. If you would like to see improvements in the neighborhood, we encourage you to attend the meeting and learn how you can contribute.

We’re thrilled to invite you to this year’s Summer Picnic in the Park—a favorite tradition that brings our community together for an evening of fun, food, and friendship.

With summer vacations behind us and schools back in session, it's time for one of our favorite traditions—the Stoneridge Subdivision Annual Picnic! This year, we’re excited to invite you to join us on Saturday, September 14th, 2024, from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm at North Park on Coral Drive. (Link- https://maps.app.goo.gl/wGV2zBcDX24DdzAUA)

We have an exciting lineup planned, featuring games, prizes, delicious food, refreshing beverages, live music, and even a movie in the park to cap off the evening. This year's showing will be Despicable Me 4. It’s a wonderful opportunity for new residents to meet their neighbors and for long-time Stoneridge friends to reconnect.

Feel free to bring your chairs and blankets to enjoy a fun and relaxing evening. As always, this event is organized by and for Stoneridge residents, and we couldn’t do it without your support. The HOA volunteers deeply appreciate everyone who has contributed to making this event a success year after year.

Stoneridge Annual Picnic in the North Park (on Coral Dr.) will be on September 14th, 2024 from 5:30 to 8pm with a movie in the park following at dusk. There will be food, games and fun in the park for all! More details to come. Hope to see you there!
