Welcome
YES+ Youth Empowered Service Team (formerly: Kids that KARE) is an organization meant to empower youth to volunteer and serve in their community. My goal is to inspire and encourage those around me to do the right thing when no one is watching, to spread positivity, kindness and hope. In a world that often seems broken and drowning in negativity, I want to move mountains and restore your belief in the youth of today. We are the future, and we owe it to you and ourselves to make it a bright one.
The Beginnings
April 19, 2016, that was the day I made this official. I have been involved in the community from a young age, especially in church. Why did it have to start and stop there? What about the people who didn’t have a church to serve at? I started making calls to find things for my friends and I to do in the community, to find out where we could serve. Dead End. After. Dead. End. You get the idea, so I started calling and saying, this is what we can do. Our age should never matter. Why would we not want to encourage people from a young age to get involved? It didn’t add up. So, I got to work and I made calls and organized events, I got the attention of those in and out of our community. I was asked to start a youth version of the Rotary Club at my middle school and now more and more people are getting involved. Big things are happening. No task is too big or to small, no spotlight too dim or too bright, no mountain too big to climb. I started this when I was 12 years old, I never imagined it growing to what it is today. I am proud of our accomplishments, thank you for stopping by.
