God is either good all of the time, or He is never good. Good things and horrible things happen everyday on this planet. There is enough evidence for or against His goodness, but He can’t be both, because when wonderful things are happening for you, wicked things are happening for someone else. I choose to believe God is indeed good, all of the time.

Is this not the fast that I chose: To release the bonds of wickedness, to undo the ropes of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free, and break every yoke? Is it not to break your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into the house; When you see the naked, to cover him; And not to hide yourself from your own flesh. In earthly Kingdoms the majority of the citizens are peasants and slaves. To be royalty you are simply born of the King. We have been reborn from above. Born of God our Father. In God’s Kingdom we are ALL the Royal Family, a truly egalitarian society. No racism, sexism, or classism. The Church is here to model this Heavenly Culture.

Jesus said that one cannot serve both God and money. They will love the one and despise the other. God doesn’t mind blessing you with gold, He just doesn’t want you to make a golden calf out of it!
