For the remainder of the year, Joseph's House and Shelter will accept only in-kind donations scheduled and approved through our Development Department.

We are incredibly grateful for the generosity our community shows throughout the year. Your support makes a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve, and this temporary adjustment helps us ensure every donation has the greatest possible impact.

This process helps us ensure we have the staff capacity to receive donations properly, respect our limited storage space, and, most importantly, focus on accepting items we can immediately distribute to clients and families in need.

If you would like to make an in-kind donation, please contact our Development Department at 518-874-1247 before bringing items to any agency location, so we can coordinate your gift with our current needs.

Thank you for partnering with us to provide dignity, care, and hope to our neighbors experiencing homelessness and housing instability.

A big thank you to the Troy Turkey Trot for once again selecting Joseph's House & Shelter as one of its charitable beneficiaries! 🦃🏃

We are so grateful for their continued partnership and commitment to supporting our mission of providing non-judgmental services to end homelessness in the Capital Region.

A huge thank you to Robert and Dawson from Regeneron for spending their day volunteering with Joseph’s House as part of Regeneron’s Day of Action!

Robert, who served as the team lead, and Dawson dedicated their time and energy to deep cleaning our agency kitchens.

The impact of their hard work goes far beyond a clean space. By helping maintain safe, welcoming, and dignified environments for the individuals and families we serve, they made a lasting difference in our agency and our community.

Thank you, Robert and Dawson, for your dedication, and thank you to Regeneron for your continued partnership and commitment to giving back. We are grateful for your support and honored to work alongside volunteers who help make our mission possible.

Yesterday our Executive Director, Amy LaFountain, and Associate Director of Outreach Services, Anna Manzella, attended the Capital District Women's Employment & Resource Center (WERC) Annual Luncheon at the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy.

This year's event, themed "Lead by Your Light: Embody. Empower. Elevate.", featured keynote speaker Jen Aks, who shared an inspiring message about self-trust, confidence, and leadership.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow community members and celebrate the important work WERC does to empower women.

Thank you to WERC for bringing our community together for such a meaningful event, and for the important work you do throughout the Capital Region!

Thank you to the East Side Quilters for your extraordinary gift of handmade quilts. Your talent, time, and dedication have created something truly special for the individuals and families we serve.
These quilts will do more than provide warmth during the colder months. They will offer comfort, peace, and a sense of being cared for. For many of our clients, receiving a handmade quilt is a reminder that someone took the time to create something just for them, with love, dignity, and compassion woven into every stitch.
We are deeply grateful for your partnership and generosity. Your beautiful quilts will bring comfort to our clients and remind them that they are valued members of a caring community.

We are incredibly grateful to Joe Glazer for his outstanding service and leadership on the Joseph’s House & Shelter Board of Directors! His dedication, guidance, and many contributions have made a lasting impact on our organization and the mission we serve.

As our current Board Chair, Joe leads by example, bringing a deep commitment to our work and a wealth of experience in mental health advocacy and governance. His thoughtful leadership, sound judgment, and unwavering integrity have helped guide our Board through important decisions and strengthened our ability to serve those who rely on us.

We are fortunate to have Joe's leadership and grateful for all he continues to do for Joseph's House & Shelter.
