We wanted to inform you that per the board, this page will no longer be used. There will no longer be a Montgomery County Humane Society until further notice. If you wish to keep up with the animals we currently have and are trying to rehome please follow Spike’s Farm or Kenzie Brady. We desperately need to find homes for Warren and River Girl. River Girl is another special girl we have to rehome. Sally saved her several years ago hungry and abandoned. She is a special dog and loved cuddling in the house with her. She does chase the cats occasionally, but hasn't hurt them either. She doesn't like to share her dinner, so feeding her separately is important. She is so loving and loyal and loves to rock and cuddle. She is fully vetted and on monthly preventatives. If you are willing to foster or adopt, please reach out via messenger.

Several have asked us to post what we have to rehome. Warren is a hound mix. He loves to hunt. He is a little hyper, but still has some puppy left in him. He is fully vetted, on heartworm and flea preventatives monthly and ready to go to his new home. He loves going on walks and loves dinner time! He does chase cats, but doesn't hurt them. With time and patience he will be a great addition to someone's home. If you would like to foster or adopt Warren please message us. Right now we are message only. We desperately need to find him a loving home soon!

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our founder Mrs. Sally Morris. Please bare with us during this difficult time. We do have several animals that are dreaming of their furever home. Getting a great loving home is the best way we can honor her legacy. Please message us if you would be interested in giving a dog or cat a loving home.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
We would like to start off by thanking everyone for your continued love and support throughout the years. We wanted to bring to everyone’s attention we are no longer at the facility on Landfill Rd and have not been there since June of 2021. The building that took us over 30 years and many hard worked hours was sadly stolen from us within a year of partnership w/ the county. We have relocated back to our original site at 1150 Okeewemee Rd Troy. Although, we no longer have a facility and we are 100% foster based, we are trying to plan for the future to be able make a new facility. This will only be possible through fundraisers and donations. We are hopeful to continue to take care of the unwanted animals in the community. We also still have a spay/neuter program, but cannot continue this until our funds are replenished. As you may know, the founder is battling a sickness, which is cancer. We greatly appreciate all the prayers and concerns you have sent. The animals are still being loved and cared for daily. The animals are as happy and healthy as they have ever been. We are just not able to accept anymore at this time. We will be revamping our board and will be needing more volunteers and fosters. We appreciate all the love, support, and donations. Please keep them coming so that we can continue to support these animals. Donations may be sent to MCHS at 1150 Okeewemee Rd Troy, NC 27371
