Alumni - with Alumni weekend events coming up fast Saturday 11/15 for the Union game we are looking to do an event for the actives the night before. We are putting together an alumni panel to speak to the actives 7-8pm Friday 11/14. This will be just a quick bio and what you have been up to since leaving RPI and then Q&A from the actives. This will give them career guidance and serve as a better way to connect our alumni/active conversations during the weekend. We have 3 alumni already signed up but hope to get 1-2 more.

If you can be at the house Friday night and willing to participate please reach out to me Rick Russell ‘95

Big shoutout to the OX Alumni Board! 🎉

We’re turning back the clock and leveling up — reconnecting directly with our Delta Chapter OX Brothers, without the middlemen (or the big bills 💸).

We’ve officially taken back ownership of our communications — new tech, new postal partners, and fresh social media channels — all to keep our brotherhood strong and connected.

If you’ve updated your mailing address, keep an eye on your mailbox… something special is on the way. 📬

Updated information for Alumni Weekend is detailed in the mailings below.

Much love and brotherhood to you all — here’s to keeping the Delta spirit alive and thriving! 🔴⚪️.

Here is another chance to update your contact information.

Thanks!

Brothers,

Time to dust off your old letters and RSVP to Alumni Weekend! Several brothers are already in, and we are finalizing transportation and the Alumni Dinner — yes, that means we need to plan for you and yours’ (pizza is still a phone call away if you last minute have the opportunity to show up).

If you’ve been away or felt a little disconnected from our “very, very fine house,” you should know the alumni board has done what could only be described as miraculous — Delta Chapter of Theta Chi is alive, thriving, and ready to welcome you back.

I’ll be honest — I was once a skeptic. But as Dan Sheehan, Class of 1998 (and proud board member), I can say with confidence: if you come back this weekend, you might just walk away remembering why you joined in the first place. You’ll see that the house isn’t just hanging on — it’s stronger than ever. We’ve positioned things so that if one day your grandkids choose RPI, our house will still be standing there — probably cleaner than it was when we lived in it (we’ve grown up… a little).

We all once promised to “extend the helping hand.” Turns out, that wasn’t just some catchy phrase we memorized for initiation — it’s been the quiet engine behind everything we’ve done to keep this chapter going.

So come home. Bring your stories, your appetite, and maybe your ibuprofen (we’re not 20 anymore).

Fraternally yours,
Dan Sheehan

Just over a week ago - I got to do two of my favorite things in the world, watch my kids play lacrosse and visit with not just a brother of ours but also Board member Rick Russel. Ironically better known by nicknames that he outgrew a long time ago.

I was traveling to Delaware for my Daughter’s tournament and realized I could take a ferry from Lewes, DE to Cape May, NJ- and be 20 minutes away from Wildwood, and what started as a whim turned into two amazing Ferry rides and a reaffirmation of what it is to be a OX brother.

Blair (his incredible wife) and Rick were such gracious and amazing hosts for me the entirety of my stay, (my only regret was not more time) on Friday but luckily was able to get an early ferry back on Saturday. I got to meet their incredible daughter and it felt like extended family. I got to go out “Adulting” with them and see Wildwood in all its amazing color and reputation.

I share with all of you brothers for two immediate reasons -
1 - I said I would share two stories
2 - I’ve lived more than half my life a Brother of Delta Chapter of OX - and there is nothing close to connecting professionally, personally and the love I have for our absolutely unique brotherhood that doesn’t leave me in awe
3 - it is the secret sauce and what makes what we have so extraordinary

If you haven’t called up a brother of old or asked for a helping hand - be bold, be resolute men and I hope in my two stories that I shared you see what I have lived with my best friends and brothers - this is what OX has always been.

We are the lucky few, the best of men, and I hope you feel inspired to reconnect with us.

Our legacy is strong and will continue with the same purpose, even more focused by you joining us.

Love to you all and your families on this second day of late July 2025.

Happy Late July Brothers!

I am going to share two different posts tonight/tomorrow - but the theme is the same.

A large number of us have kids who play travel sports and for me personally it is lacrosse with my Daughters (shocker) but I went out to Devens Mass this weekend and on the way, swung through Troy and was able to swing by the Ruck.

Was awesome and Dave joined us for lunch and took the girls on their first tour of campus.

Anyway, I have another awesome story from last weekend - I’ll post tomorrow.

It was a sweet reminder of what it means to be Delta Chapter of OX.

Thank you Dave and !

"We're on a mission from God" - Getting the ΘX Band Back Together!”

ΘX Delta Chapter Brothers,
"It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of ci******es, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses."

Just like Jake and Elwood Blues, we're on a mission to reunite our brotherhood – and we need YOUR help to get the band back together.

For too long, our alumni network has been scattered across the country, with brothers losing touch as careers developed, families grew, and life simply happened. As your newly formed Alumni Board, we're making it our mission to change that.

Who Are "The Blues Brothers" Behind This?

We're a group of brothers spanning several decades who believe strongly in the lifelong bonds formed during our treasure time at 2100 Burdett. The new Alumni Board includes:
· President – Dave Gardell

· Vice President – Connor Brown

· Treasurer – Mike Malling & John Menjik

· Secretary – Chris Manuel

· Social Chair (Emeritus) – Bob Guillerault

· Board Members – Rick Russell and Dan Sheehan

Why Now?

Our brotherhood was never meant to end at graduation. There continues to be tremendous value in reconnecting this powerful network of what we proudly called “The House”.

Our Mission (From Dusty):

1. Rebuild our alumni database - We've lost contact with too many brothers
2. Reestablish alumni weekend - Our first "comeback" event will be the 2025 Shoes Game
3. Support the active chapter – Financially and through mentorship and guidance

What We Need From You - RIGHT NOW

1. Update your contact information - Complete this quick 2-minute form - link here!

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfrvpDC8myzNb2iL6-1AkPdVE5ITXLXKXy0qrH9I_Ldis6qjg/viewform

2. Share this email - Forward to any brothers you're still in contact with
3. Mark your calendar – We are toying with the idea of a summer work party/social event at the house, and a reconstituted alumni weekend on November 15th, 2025 (The Shoes Game!)

As Jake Blues would say, "The band, Elwood! The band!" Our brotherhood is that band, and it's time to get us back on stage together.

Whether you graduated last year or fifty years ago, you're an essential part of this brotherhood. Let's reconnect, reminisce, and rebuild the powerful network that made our fraternity experience so meaningful.

On behalf of the Alumni Board, we can't wait to reconnect.

Fraternally,

Dave Gardell

Trust me it would seem simple but it isn’t and we need your help to connect beyond this medium!
