🧪🔬 TEEF Grant Spotlight 🔬🧪

The Troy Education Enhancement Foundation is excited to celebrate another impactful grant supporting student learning across Troy ISD!

Congratulations to Bethany Franklin at Troy Elementary School for receiving a $1,750 TEEF Grant to create exciting new STEM opportunities through an Elementary Science Club! 👏

Research shows that early exposure to engaging STEM experiences helps increase student achievement, confidence, and long-term interest in science-related careers. This new program will provide students with hands-on science enrichment activities that spark curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.

Students will participate in engaging projects such as building simple machines, exploring chemical reactions, investigating engineering challenges, and conducting experiments that connect science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to real-world applications. Through collaboration and problem-solving, students will learn to ask questions, form hypotheses, test ideas, and draw conclusions like real scientists and engineers.

Grant funds will provide science experiment kits, lab supplies, building materials, and consumable items that will help bring these exciting STEM experiences to life.

The Troy Education Enhancement Foundation proudly awarded FOUR outstanding Troy ISD seniors with $2,000 scholarships each during Senior Awards Day! These students have demonstrated excellence, leadership, hard work, and a commitment to their future, and we are honored to support them as they begin their next chapter. 💙💛

🔧🛠️ TEEF Grant Spotlight 🛠️🔧

The Troy Education Enhancement Foundation is proud to support innovative, hands-on learning opportunities across Troy ISD!

Congratulations to Austin Young at Troy High School for receiving a $5,000 TEEF Grant to launch and support the new Ag Power Systems Course! 👏

This exciting program will give students real-world experience by allowing them to disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, and reassemble small gas engines using industry-standard tools and procedures. Grant funds will provide 10 small engines and the specialized tools needed for hands-on instruction and certification training aligned with TEKS and EETC standards.

These engines are designed to be rebuilt again and again, creating a long-term learning investment that will benefit Troy ISD students for years to come. Through lab activities and technical skill demonstrations, students will gain valuable experience in engine systems, diagnostics, problem-solving, and agricultural mechanics.

By funding opportunities like this, TEEF is helping students move beyond textbooks and into meaningful career and technical education experiences that prepare them for future success. 🚜⚙️
