We are proud to share that members of our group delivered meals to First Responders working hard today. We want to take this opportunity to thank all First Responders for their essential work, day in and day out. A special thank you to Higgins & Son for making this gesture possible by commissioning the meals.

Uwharrie Volunteer Firefighter Brandon Saunders was in a single-vehicle car accident while responding to a fire call on May 27, 2024. Brandon has 4 breaks in his lower back, 3 major breaks on the left side of his pelvis, and his femur, fibula, tibia, and ankle are broken as well. He is currently admitted to Duke Hospital awaiting multiple surgeries. Brandon has a long road to recovery and currently, the length of his hospital stay and the number of required surgeries is unknown.

Our mission is to help and support our Montgomery County first responder heroes in their time of need. The Montgomery County Heroes Tribute will be making an immediate donation to Firefighter Saunders' family to help with the financial burden of travel and things needed during his hospitalization.

With permission from his family, we want to share information on one of our heroes that needs our support. One of our own, Deputy Devon Little was involved in a traffic crash this week while off duty. He sustained significant injuries, is hospitalized, and has a long road to recovery. He and his Fiancé are expecting their first child. Our mission is to help and support our Montgomery County first responder heroes in their time of need. The Montgomery County Heroes Tribute will be making an immediate donation to Deputy Little's family to help with the financial burden of travel and things needed during his hospitalization.
