We wanted to take a moment to keep our community updated on the progress of the Doniphan County Freedom Rock®️ project.

As many of you know, this memorial will make Doniphan County an official stop on the 50 State Freedom Rock Tour and serve as a lasting tribute honoring our veterans, active military, and first responders. We truly believe this project will become something our county can be proud of for generations to come while also bringing visitors and tourism into our communities.

Our current fundraising goal is $25,000, which will help cover the artist expenses, transportation and placement of the rock, site preparation, lighting, landscaping, signage, and long-term maintenance of the memorial area.

We are incredibly grateful for the support already shown through donations, encouragement, and sharing our mission with others. Every contribution — no matter the size — is helping move this project forward.

We know projects like this take a community coming together, and we are thankful to everyone who believes in honoring those who have served while creating something meaningful for Doniphan County.

We will continue sharing fundraising updates and project progress as we move closer to making the Doniphan County Freedom Rock®️ a reality.

Artist Bubba Sorensen will begin painting the Doniphan County Freedom Rock®️ on:

⭐️September 21–30, 2026⭐️,
making Doniphan County, Kansas a stop on the 50-State Freedom Rock Tour!

This special memorial project will honor our veterans, first responders, and the freedoms we cherish while creating a landmark our community can be proud of for generations to come.

We invite everyone to follow along, spread the word, and be part of this exciting journey as the Freedom Rock®️ comes to life right here in Doniphan County!
