What an amazing First Friday!

A huge THANK YOU to all of the talented artists who participated in our Quick Draw Challenge at **Space to Create Trinidad** last night! We loved watching each artist take on the challenge and create such incredible, one-of-a-kind pieces.

All of the artwork will remain on display at Space to Create through next Friday and is available for purchase, so if you didn’t get a chance to stop by last night, there’s still time to come see the finished pieces and support our local artists!

We had such a great time being part of First Friday and would love to continue bringing more fun, creative events like this to future First Fridays in Trinidad.

Thank you to our artists, everyone who stopped by, and everyone who continues to support our local creative community. ❤️

Check out some of the amazing work from last night!

Stop in at Space to Create in Historic Downtown Trinidad to see this amazing mural by Thomas Evans.

https://settingcoloradostable.com/

To celebrate our agricultural heritage, CDA has partnered with
Thomas “Detour” Evans to create a large scale, traveling mural
highlighting our state’s agricultural roots.

From tractors and commodities to rivers and creeks, the mural
invites viewers to experience agriculture through a bold, bright,
and colorful lens.

In 2026, the United States is celebrating the 250th anniversary of the
Declaration of Independence — our nation’s semiquincentennial. At the
same time, Colorado commemorates the 150th anniversary of its entrance
into the Union—our state’s sesquicentennial.

As the Centennial State, Colorado has the unique distinction of observing
twin anniversaries—what we call our Sesquisemiquincentennial.

To honor this extraordinary celebration, the Colorado Department of
Agriculture invites you to join us in recognizing this vital milestone.
Together, we celebrate the integral role agriculture plays in shaping
Colorado’s rich tapestry of shared history. Our festivities envision a vibrant
future through a series of community events, engaging educational
opportunities, statewide celebrations, and a variety of activities that unite
our diverse communities. City of Trinidad Colorado C R E A T E TrinidadVisit Trinidad Colorado
