Trinidad Coastal Land Trust

Trinidad Coastal Land Trust Trinidad Coastal Land Trust was founded in 1978 with a vision of protecting the natural resources of our coastline, beaches, and stunning ocean vistas.

TCLT is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting for the public benefit the natural beauty and character of the Humboldt County Coast from Little River to Big Lagoon. Today our twenty coastal properties are managed by volunteers and land owners for public access, recreation, and open space protections. Some of our properties include Houda Point/Camel Rock, Baker Beach, north Luffenholtz

Beach, Pilot Point nature reserve, Saunders Park, public access easements to Moonstone Beach and Martin Creek Trail, and our newest Little River property.

⚠️ A friendly reminder that the south trail at Houda Point is closed until further notice. The broken cable steps are hazardous and walking around them erodes the trail, making sustainable trail maintenance challenging.

🤲 We NEED your help to raise funds to repair and reopen the trail. We’re at 70% of our fundraising goal of $2300 to repair the cable steps and safely open the trail. To make a donation, please visit the link in our bio or Venmo us (please mention “Trail Repair” in the Venmo description).

💙 Your support will help us re-open the trail!

We had such an amazing work day on Saturday! 🙌

This project was a long time coming. We finally replaced the dilapidated fencing around the Houda Point native plant garden (see the before photos at the end).
This was much needed as our native plants are often trampled.

Special thanks to for donating this beautiful recycled crab rope. It really tied the whole project together! 🦀

And special thanks to this dream team of volunteers and fellows!

We are so excited to see our native plants continue to thrive this spring 🌼 🌱 🌺

Join us for our next Stewardship Work Day on June 6th.
If we raise the necessary funds, we will be repairing the Houda Point cable steps!

Are you a regular beachgoer or surfer at Houda Point/Camel Rock?
Please consider donating to our trail repair fund! 💸
