PALS- Pet Assistance League Store PALS is a charity thrift store dedicated to funding low cost animal services in our community. 🐾 PALS is a 501c3 charitable organization.

Our mission is to provide and promote the resources, education, and programs needed to help Southern Colorado's pets, animals, and the people who love them. PALS is primarily funded by our thrift store, in addition to grants and private donations. Our Services Include:

Low Cost Vaccination, Nail Trim, & Microchip Clinic happening at PALS Thrift Store (131 E. Main St in Trinidad, CO) Saturday June 13th from 10am-2pm. Cat and dog services will be held at separate times: Cats from 10am to 11am, Dogs from 11:30am to 2pm. If your dog ONLY needs its nails trimmed (no shots or microchip) please come between 1:30pm and 2pm.
Please take note of your pet’s time slot and be sure to plan accordingly!

This is a first come/first serve event, so please be patient as waits can be expected. CASH is preferred and generally the quickest payment method. We are unable to run credit cards for under $10.

💉 Yearly Vaccinations- FREE courtesy of a grant from Petco Love & PALS
💉 Rabies Vaccinations- $5 courtesy of PALS, administered by Dr. Blanton
✂️ Nail Trims- $5-$10
📍 Low Cost Microchip- $5 includes implantation, in-store registration, and a cool QR scan code tag for your pets collar

Can you believe it's been 3 years since PALS opened its doors!? Because of your support, we've already been able to help thousands of animals. We truly can't express how much we appreciate your generosity and trust. As part of our anniversary celebration we will be sponsoring cat adoptions at the City of Trinidad Animal Shelter for the entire month of June. 🐾 “Paws To Give” and help community cats live better lives! 🐾

Not every kitty is lucky enough to have a home, but that’s doesn’t mean we can’t show them some love. TNR (Trap-Neuter-Release) helps community cats live healthier, happier lives and prevents unneeded suffering and overpopulation.

How can you help?
Now through June 22nd, stop by PALS and make a donation of $2 or more to our TNR Fund and get your paper paw print to personalize. They’ll be hung to show just how much love Trinidad has for its feline friends. As a thank you (and part of our 3rd anniversary celebration) you’ll also receive entries into our donor drawing- choose which gift package(s) you’d like a chance to win! The lucky winners will be drawn on Tuesday June 23rd.

Check out the photos to see the four awesome gift packages, and don’t forget to look for the growing number of colorful paper paws from community members who have chosen to help. Every paw print represents someone making a difference for local cats by supporting PALS’ TNR Program.

💧 Trinidad Water Festival 2026 💧

The day was a little bit chilly, but we still had lots of fun with the community’s young people! PALS team members Katrina, Cora, & Kristine as well as Board Members Mathew & Nancy were on hand to teach students about what they can donate to the thrift store instead of throwing away, the importance of not “kit-napping” baby cats they find outside, and why microchipping your pets is so helpful in making sure they get home when lost. As always, using the scanner to locate the microchips in PALS Ambassa-dogs Matilda, Anka, & Gracie was a big hit with the kids. Our canine companions were absolutely spoiled with scritches and attention from the young animal lovers.

Thank you to the organizers of the Trinidad Water Festival for including us again this year, and for all the hard work you do to put on this educational and fun event! 🐾
