I haven’t posted in a while because most things aren’t worth talking about so I opened myself up to surrendering my concerns and just having faith. I used to feel I am a fourth generation carpenter for my great grandfather, my grandfather, and my dad who was one of the best plasters left me in the hands of his brother Jack and his son Gary who taught me to be a carpenter. Through the last 33 years of doing this I went full circle from trying to do new and better to slowly reverting and understanding the old and slow ways are better. I found myself really desiring tradition wood craft and been aiming my learning towards that only to find I left out a generation in my line that’s most important. My creator my true father who was a carpenter and so when I started thinking of him while I work I realized everything has life . Wood and old tools have just as much soul and life as I do and I am understanding that he wasn’t just a wood carpenter but a carpenter of everything living and everything even wood has a soul but the difference he built in us was a spirit also. My goals are simple now and that’s to build understanding the life of my materials and honor that and most important try to become a carpenter of my spirit through my father. Jesus Christ
