Whether you are completing your ofrenda, planning for a Thanksgiving meal, or somewhere in-between, family is on everyone's minds this time of year.

In caregiving roles, family is the default resource. We want to encourage you today - keep up the good work! We know it's hard. We will walk with you on this journey. 🧡

Halloween. Four of them coordinated costumes and two of them very much did not get the memo.

The two who didn't get the memo are at the front of every single photo. This was not planned and could not have been.

A good night is generally the one nobody managed to organize properly.

Last Sunday we had one of our monthly Community Meetup events. We went to Phillips Farms and had 10 people join us!

We participated in several activities in the Family Fun Park, including a wagon ride, mini golf, touch-a-tractor, lawn games like co****le, and the sports zone. Some of us also enjoyed food and drinks while we were there.

Overall, it was a fun outing with a variety of activities for everyone to enjoy!

Stay tuned for our next outing - we'd love to have more teens and young adults join us!

She used to plan in three-month blocks, because three months was as far ahead as the funding was ever guaranteed.

Somewhere this fall she caught herself thinking about next summer.

The future stops being a threat at the exact moment it becomes a plan.

End of October. The volunteer hours came in higher than September, and September was a good month.

We keep waiting for the number to level off. It keeps not doing that.

Thank you. We don't take a single hour of it as given.

He asked for the hearing loop in the training room to be switched on. It had been broken for about a year and nobody had reported it.

He wasn't the first person it failed. He was the first who said something.

It's on now.

This is an example of why we need National Disability Employment Awareness Month to become a year-round campaign!

Her own primary care doctor. Not a pediatrician.

She picked him off a list because his office is on the bus route. That was the entire reason, and it was hers to have.

Adulthood is mostly a long series of small decisions that nobody else gets to weigh in on.

The ramp at the side entrance has been broken since August. She has been emailing about it since the day it stopped being an option.

Fixed on Friday.

Persistence is not a personality trait here. It's a skill, learned expensively, and she should never have needed it.

Somebody's cousin came along and didn't know a single person there.

Within ten minutes he'd been handed a plate, given a nickname, and folded into an argument about parking. Nobody performed hospitality at him.

Groups that have spent years being left out of things are frequently the best in the world at not doing it to anybody else.
