🐔💩 **Who knew waiting for a chicken to p**p could make such a big difference?**

A huge THANK YOU to Steve and the entire Sandlots crew for hosting another fun and memorable Chicken P**p Bingo fundraiser!

Because of the generosity of everyone who participated, **The Sharing Center raised $710** to help local families facing difficult times. These funds will go directly toward helping keep families in their homes, food on their tables, and hope in their hearts.

It's amazing what can happen when a community comes together for a little fun and a great cause. We are incredibly grateful for partners like Sandlots who continue to find creative ways to support our mission and make a real impact right here in our community.

Thank you to everyone who bought a square, cheered on the chicken, and helped turn a fun evening into meaningful support for our neighbors.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Southeast Virtual Academy for recognizing Sharon's leadership and for providing innovative educational opportunities that meet students and families where they are. The vision of flexible, student-centered learning is one that will positively impact countless lives throughout our community.

Next up, we’re proud to introduce Sharon Pomaville, President of the SVA Governance Board and Executive Director of The Sharing Center. Sharon brings a deep commitment to community, family support, and creating opportunities that help all students thrive.

When asked what excites her most about the vision for SVA, Sharon shared:

“I am incredibly encouraged by the prospect of education that truly meets the needs of every student and family. Education has come a long way over the past decade in creating more flexible and responsive learning opportunities, but Southeast Virtual Academy takes that vision several steps further. I am especially excited by the commitment to creating a truly comprehensive and adaptable educational experience that recognizes students learn differently and families need options that fit their unique circumstances.”

School may be ending, but access to healthy meals doesn't have to.

Beginning June 9th, The Sharing Center and the YMCA will once again partner to provide FREE Summer Meals for local children and teens throughout the summer.

📍 Lakewood Elementary
10:45am–11:30am

📍 Salem Community Park
12:00pm–12:45pm

🗓 Every Tuesday, June 9 – August 18

✔ Children 18 years old and younger qualify
✔ Adults ages 19–21 with a disability who are currently attending school also qualify
