Today we’re celebrating an incredible woman — Tracy Taggart of the Community Foundation in Hollister — on her well-deserved retirement.

While she may have refused a photo today, we couldn’t let this moment pass without recognizing the impact she has made — especially on Cooper’s Calling.

Tracy has been one of our greatest champions from the very beginning. She believed in our mission before many even knew who we were, and she played a pivotal role in helping put Cooper’s Calling on the map.

Through her advocacy, guidance, and relentless support, she helped us connect with donors, secure grants, and build the foundation that allows us to continue serving our riders today.
Quite simply, we would not be where we are without her.

Tracy, thank you for your heart, your belief in our mission, and the countless hours you poured into helping us grow. Your legacy will live on in every life we continue to touch.

✨ Volunteer of the Year 2025 ✨

There are volunteers… and then there’s Raissa. ._.ruiz

From day one, Raissa has shown up for Cooper’s Calling with a level of consistency, heart, and dedication that is truly unmatched. Rain or shine, full schedule or last-minute call—she is always there.
She doesn’t just volunteer… she shows up fully.

For our riders.
For our horses.
For our mission.

Raissa is the steady presence every program dreams of having—always smiling, always encouraging, always ready to jump in wherever she’s needed. Our kids absolutely adore her, and it’s easy to see why. She brings a light into every single ride.

And what makes her even more special?
Her commitment doesn’t stop when the rides end. On her days off, you’ll still find her at the arena—feeding horses, helping maintain their care, and giving her time purely out of the goodness of her heart.
She supports us in every way—sharing our mission, inviting others in, showing up to every event, and giving 100% of herself every single time.

There truly is no one like Raissa.

It is with so much gratitude and pride that we honor her as our 2025 Volunteer of the Year and present her with a well-deserved buckle to recognize her incredible impact.

Raissa, you are the heart behind so many of our moments. We are beyond lucky to have you. 🤍

4 years ago today we were just an idea and hosted our largest, most successful, and biggest amount raised event- KICK UP YOUR HOOVES

although we miss this event, we look back on this day with so much gratitude for every supporter and attendees who truly catapulted us into existence.

Today we are helping 12 children, bringing 5 more riders off the waitlist next quarter, and have graduated over 5 riders.
