When was the last time you disconnected from your screen and reconnected with yourself?

Today (or this week sometime if you can't today), challenge yourself to take a digital detox. Put down the phone, step away from social media, and spend some intentional time being present in the world around you. Try using your extra screen-free time to:

🌳 Take a walk outside
πŸ“– Read a book
β˜• Enjoy a conversation with a friend
🎨 Get creative
🧘 Practice mindfulness
🐾 Spend time with a pet

Research shows that reducing screen time can help lower stress, improve sleep, increase focus, and boost overall well-being.

You don't have to unplug for the entire day; even one hour can make a difference.

Challenge: Set aside one screen-free hour today and TELL US how you spent it in the comments!

Mental Health Monday:

When you're struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, grief, or life's challenges, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by everything that lies ahead. We often think we need to have all the answers before we can move forward.

The truth is, healing doesn't happen all at once. Progress is made one step at a time.

Today, your first step might be:
✨ Making that phone call you've been putting off.
✨ Scheduling an appointment.
✨ Taking a walk outside.
✨ Reaching out to a trusted friend.
✨ Giving yourself permission to rest.

Whatever your step looks like, remember that you don't have to navigate the journey alone. Small steps taken consistently can lead to meaningful change.

At NCMMHC, we're here to walk alongside you every step of the way.

What's one small step you can take today to support your mental health?
