Yep … I call bu****it on Dan Rodrick and his idiot-enablers on the Council. But I also call bu****it on many of the most pervasive of anti-Rodrick sorts of “activists” and their enablers and supporters.
This may surprise many who might have assumed that I’m aligned with those purported activists. Pay closer attention to their resounding silence on anything and everything I’ve said and particularly said from a perspective of being neutral and detached, unemotional, unhysterical, factually and legally analytical to enlighten and not to gas-light and inflame.
Clearly, I have been opposed to much of what Rodrick has been doing throughout his first month in office and I have never been a fan of his but I don’t hate him personally (he’s just another of many as****es in life) but it’s not blinded me. I still see the reality that there are other people, kinda fancying themselves as some sort of “rebel leaders,” who are really nothing more than manipulators, no better than Rodrick and his sychophants, who are using what he’s been doing to bolster their ego and social stature, to advance their own personal vendetta against him, and to advance their agenda (and the agenda of others who are also using the purported rebel leaders) which is to detract from Rodrick’s efforts to try to overturn the downtown development deal.
More than many may ever know, there is A LOT of private dealings at stake, personally and financially, for that development deal to go all the way through.
Rodrick and his idiot-enablers on the council putting the police department on the agenda within 3 weeks of being sworn in was the worst thing they could’ve done and a tremendous gift to those who oppose his plans to get out of the development deal.
I’m playing my position, like an umpire, and just calling balls and strikes … If Rodrick, or anybody, is on the wrong side of something or the right side, that’s how I will call it. That is precisely why I, of all people, am able to speak vigorously in support of the police department and against the ordinance seeking to amend and supplement the municipal code with regard to the police department.
I have no agenda other than the best interests of our community and I implore the Council members to vote “no” on the ordinance or to move to table the ordinance. Therefore, I also implore the Mayor, through his business administrator, to reinstate the recently terminated Confidential Media Relations specialist to position within the police department. By doing so, the right thing would be done, alternative means for hiring cso/emts can be found, and it would take the wind out of the purported “activists” who, for now, I will not call out personally publicly … for now.
Pay attention; trust but verify. There is always a line a communication to me.
