Once again NJ wants to take away our right to OPRA

State Sen. Paul Sarlo (D Bergen and Passaic) is sponsoring a bill that would gut the state’s Open Public Records Act, taking away some of the most important

Yep … I call bu****it on Dan Rodrick and his idiot-enablers on the Council. But I also call bu****it on many of the most pervasive of anti-Rodrick sorts of “activists” and their enablers and supporters.

This may surprise many who might have assumed that I’m aligned with those purported activists. Pay closer attention to their resounding silence on anything and everything I’ve said and particularly said from a perspective of being neutral and detached, unemotional, unhysterical, factually and legally analytical to enlighten and not to gas-light and inflame.

Clearly, I have been opposed to much of what Rodrick has been doing throughout his first month in office and I have never been a fan of his but I don’t hate him personally (he’s just another of many as****es in life) but it’s not blinded me. I still see the reality that there are other people, kinda fancying themselves as some sort of “rebel leaders,” who are really nothing more than manipulators, no better than Rodrick and his sychophants, who are using what he’s been doing to bolster their ego and social stature, to advance their own personal vendetta against him, and to advance their agenda (and the agenda of others who are also using the purported rebel leaders) which is to detract from Rodrick’s efforts to try to overturn the downtown development deal.

More than many may ever know, there is A LOT of private dealings at stake, personally and financially, for that development deal to go all the way through.

Rodrick and his idiot-enablers on the council putting the police department on the agenda within 3 weeks of being sworn in was the worst thing they could’ve done and a tremendous gift to those who oppose his plans to get out of the development deal.

I’m playing my position, like an umpire, and just calling balls and strikes … If Rodrick, or anybody, is on the wrong side of something or the right side, that’s how I will call it. That is precisely why I, of all people, am able to speak vigorously in support of the police department and against the ordinance seeking to amend and supplement the municipal code with regard to the police department.

I have no agenda other than the best interests of our community and I implore the Council members to vote “no” on the ordinance or to move to table the ordinance. Therefore, I also implore the Mayor, through his business administrator, to reinstate the recently terminated Confidential Media Relations specialist to position within the police department. By doing so, the right thing would be done, alternative means for hiring cso/emts can be found, and it would take the wind out of the purported “activists” who, for now, I will not call out personally publicly … for now.

Pay attention; trust but verify. There is always a line a communication to me.

VERY DISTURBING text thread conversation between Rhetta Jackson-Fair and a California resident who is the son of an elderly and disabled couple whom Rhetta appears to have taken advantage of, abused, and perpetrated a fraud on during their time of dealing with being homeless … Rhetta does not own or operate any shelter or facility that is authorized to provide housing and sure as hell not charge $750/mo per person.

Everything about her is a fraud and a façade. Call it being "negative" but the truth is what it is and the public has been misled and manipulated by our Democratic County and Municipal leadership and their sycophants.

RHETTA JACKSON-FAIR:
It was a pleasure speaking to you Jason. Attached is my cash app. You can send the funds on Fri 3/3. And by The 5th every month thereafter. Thank you for participating in the care of your Parents. Blessings to you and your Non-Profit🙏
Thank you, Pastor Rhetta.

JASON:
Hi Pastor Rhetta. I just sent you a Cash App request for the reimbursement of my parents rent money. Please let me know when you are able to send the $1,000. Thank you. -Jason
I also want to thank you for having my parents at the shelter. Our family truly appreciates the support.
Hi Pastor Rhetta. Do you have time to talk today? -Jason Toro

RHETTA JACKSON-FAIR:
Hi Jason. Do I have time for what?

JASON:
I want to see how much of the $1,000 I gave you I am going to get back after my parents leave at the end of the month.

RHETTA JACKSON-FAIR
It should be prorated based on the couple of weeks you are charging to stay in your shelter.
By my calculations, it should be $600.
I sent you a message almost 2 weeks ago to let u know the 1000 went toward the month of April for ur Mom and Dad
Because ur Mom demanded I give her 500 back. It was my understanding that she spoke with u. So what should happen is ur Mom should reimburse u.

JASON:
Just to be clear, you have charged my parents a $1,000 to sleep in a shelter.
My disabled, senior citizen 77 and 73 year old parents, with mental illness and dementia.
A shelter that they were forced to leave during the day.
I want to make sure I have all of the facts straight. Thank you.

RHETTA JACKSON-FAIR
Jason I am not the person to argue or tale advamtage of anyone. However, just to recap ur Mom & Dad were offered to live in an independent living & assisted living. They refused both places and asked if we could find them a place to live independently and they could share a place with two others to share the cost. They each signed a lease and Each person was to pay 750 which coverd the rent in the home. They agreed to share the utilities. I put out over 4,000 out of my pocket to help pay the 1st month rent and 2month security deposit. Your Mom & Dad agreed they could afford to pay 500 each and help with the utilities. And move in on 3/26 at 1000 per month. Your Mom had a mental breakdown with your Dad and several others on multiple ocassions. Which led to her leaving the home after 4-5 days and demanded 500 in cash in which I have several witnesses that she received. She called me back and asked if she could stay with us and use the 1000 for the rest of the month. And I agreed for the remainder of the month they could pay 400 each. If anything Jason I may owe you the 200 difference between 1000 and 800. However, you would have to work the remainder out of the 500 your Mom received. Because legally she's still responsible to pay for the house but I will not hold her responsible. Your parents both need help for mental and physical treatment as I've stated to you before. I pray that you will help them! I will cash app you the 200 and I pray for peace in your family.

JASON:
Thanks, Pastor Rhetta. However, I do not believe that charging senior citizens a $1,000 to sleep in a shelter that they are forced to leave during the day is is just. If you pay for a home or a hotel, you are not forced to leave during the day. I'm going to have to investigate the ethics of the situation.
I've looked online in the state of NJ and the MOST that is charged at a shelter is $200 per month, with the vast majority being free. I understand that Code Blue is over, but charging disabled seniors $1,000 to sleep on a cot at a shelter that they must leave in the morning does not sound just, ethical or fair.

JASON:
Hi Pastor Rhetta. Thanks for making a space in your Code Blue shelter for my parents. However, they are no longer interested in participating in your church. Please do not contact them. Thank you.

RHETTA JACKSON-FAIR:
Hello Jason. I only contacted them to follow up and see how they were doing. And if they needed any further assistance. As I do with all my clients. And to inform them that the county will be hosting a meeting at my facility for more housing opportunities next week. But your Mom hung up on me. It is there choice if they've decided to no longer attend my Church. I'm ok with that. However, please encourage your Mom to get the mental health tx she needs. And have both your parents to give me something in writing stating "Do Not Call".

Thank You,
Pastor Rhetta
