This week, our high schools, volunteers, and sponsors braved elements of a winter storm to execute our annual ProStart Student Invitational (NJPSI).

Nine of the Garden State's top culinary programs battled in a culinary challenge; four competed in restaurant management. Facing school closures and weather delays, we found a way to make it happen.

The New Jersey Restaurant Educational Foundation (NJREF) is now offering scholarships for the 2025-2026 academic year to support students pursuing careers in hospitality, culinary arts and related fields. The Deborah Dowdell Industry Leaders Scholarship and the Chairman's Culinary Arts Scholarship awards $1,000 to a New Jersey resident enrolled in an accredited college, university, or trade school for specific majors.
