We have a Stewards of Children training happening tonight, 6-8pm and our final event will be October 23rd. Please take a moment to register and participate in this impactful program!

This program teaches adults how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. It is designed for organizations that serve youth and for individuals concerned about the safety of children. Stewards of Children is the only nationally distributed, evidence-informed program proven to increase knowledge, improve attitudes, and change child protective behaviors.
These trainings are being provided by Bonnie Jean Kuras, a Community Educator with TEDI BEAR CAC-Brody School of Medicine.

Our featured speakers will be Becky Haas, Bonnie Jean Kuras, Garret Biss, Kelly Teague, Kia Glosson, and Tamra Church.

On Thursday, September 30th, from 6-8pm, we will be holding a FREE virtual screening of the documentary Resilience: the Biology of Stress & the Science of Hope which will be followed by a panel discussion with local experts. Panelists include Dr. Kelly Graves from the Kellin Foundation, Dr. Matthew Ledoux from ECU’s Department of Pediatrics, Dr. Jennifer Matthews from ECU's Department of Health Education and Promotion, and Dr. Erin Roberts from ECU's Department of Human Development and Family Science.

Our second Stewards of Children prevention training is happening next week; September 28th! Please take a moment to get yourself registered.

This program teaches adults how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. It is designed for organizations that serve youth and for individuals concerned about the safety of children. Stewards of Children is the only nationally distributed, evidence-informed program proven to increase knowledge, improve attitudes, and change child protective behaviors.

The Jones County Community Youth Day will be happening TOMORROW! This event will take place from 10am-4pm at 870 Hwy 41 East in Trenton. There will be a vaccine clinic held at this event from 11am-1pm; vaccines will be available for adults and children aged 12-17yrs old. Please note; parents/guardians will need to remain at this event with their children.

The 2021 Resilience Symposium is going to be a great professional development event and contact hours will be awarded to all participants!

Our featured speakers will be Becky Haas, Bonnie Jean Kuras, Garret Biss, Kelly Teague, Kia Glosson, and Tamra Church.

We will kick things off on September 30th from 6-8pm with a free virtual screening of the documentary Resilience, followed by a panel discussion with local experts in the field. Then on October 1st from 8am-5pm, we will be meeting in person at the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center.
Early bird registration is $40 per person and ends on 9/12, registration after 9/12 will be $50 per person and will close on 9/24/21. Attendance is limited to 200 to allow for physical distancing so please sign up early!
