Found this gem from last year. Speaker Craig J. Coughlin refuses to allow COLA for retirees. Naturally because his law firm apparently earns millions from the municipalities who would pay it.

Speaker Craig J. Coughlin is against COLA for retired public employees. Yet he received his own 67% raise this year as all legislators.
