🌳 1,000 trees planted for a greener, healthier Trenton! 🌳

Through Trees for Trenton, OEA has engaged 63 Careers in Conservation students and 21 Tree Ambassadors over the past three years, supporting community participation in urban forestry while helping young people build skills and explore conservation careers.

This work advances our mission to expand equitable access to nature and inspire a diverse new generation of environmental leaders, starting in their own neighborhoods.

We are excited to share that we have been awarded funding through the New Jersey Urban Heat Island Mitigation Program (UHI Program) Category 3 grant!

This support will enable us to implement community-identified projects at the microclimate level. The project will provide resilient cooling strategies and strengthen community connections during extreme heat events.

Thank you, New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, for partnering with us to advance New Jersey’s energy affordability and climate goals and to make a lasting, positive impact in our community.
