MERCER COUNTY is where it's at! Please come out and join us!

The Mercer County Military Action Council will be presenting a wreath and showing support as we recognize these important milestones in MERCER COUNTY!

Planning on attending the annual reenactment of the Battle of Princeton tomorrow, Sunday,, Jan. 4? Here’s everything you need to know! 🇺🇸

⚔️ The reenactment of the Battle of Princeton begins at 9:45 a.m. with narration audible in all viewing areas. A new elevated viewing area will be available at the North Fence.

🇺🇸 Stop by the registration tent, where children can receive a souvenir American flag. Free coffee and hot chocolate will also be available.

🚗 Parking within Princeton Battlefield State Park is limited and reserved for reenactors, volunteers and visitors who require accessible parking. Street parking near the Battlefield is available along Mercer Road and on side streets. Off-site parking is available at Marquand Park, the Institute for Advanced Study and the Historical Society of Princeton. Princeton residents are encouraged to walk to the Battlefield.

🚌 Shuttle buses will run between the Princeton Battlefield and the West Garage at Princeton University (next to the NJ Transit Princeton Station). A sheltered waiting area will be available and Princeton Battlefield Society volunteers will be on site to assist.

Ready to experience the Battle of Princeton on the historic ground where American independence was fought for and won? Join us on Jan. 4, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Princeton Battlefield State Park. Advanced registration is recommended. Tickets are $10 per adult, with free entry for children under 15 and active military members.

This annual event is made possible in partnership with the Princeton Battlefield Society.

The United States will mark its 250th anniversary in 2026, commemorating the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. New Jersey State Parks, Forests & Historic Sites will celebrate the milestone year with reenactments, interpretive programs, hiking challenges, restoration of historic structures, new visitor centers and more. November 11 is Veterans Day, a federal holiday that is meant to honor all veterans of the uniformed services who served or are still serving during times of peace as well as war.

Veterans Day has its origins at the end of World War I when at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, the fighting ended with the signing of an armistice.

With gratitude to all those that purchased a flag, sponsorship and/or donated to the FLAGS FOR HEROES campaign with the Rotary Club of Robbinsville Hamilton and the Mercer County Military Action Council (MCMAC) so that junior enlisted military at JB MDL can go home for the holidays with monies raised for the "SEND A HERO HOME" program.

Thank you to MCMAC founding sponsor Gary Gellman of Gellman Images for documenting the magestic site of the many flags flying proudly each honoring a hero. Please join us for the field dedication ceremony at RWJ Hospital Campus in Hamilton on 8 November at 11am.

Today, the Rotary Club of Robbinsville Hamilton and volunteers from SEWA and the Mercer Counyty Military Action Council placed with great care and respect American Flags representing the many heroes in our life!

The Field Dedication Ceremony for "Flags for Heroes" is scheduled for 8 November at 11am at the RWJ Hospital Campus in Hamilton. Hope to see you there! For now, please take time to visit the field and read about the many heroes displayed....the field will also be illuminated at night and it is a magical sight!

What an honor to be a part of this wonderful and giving campaign hosted by the Robbinsville Hamilton Rotary Club!

The Robbinsville Hamilton Rotary Club has begun their Flags for Heroes campaign! Please see flyer for information on becoming a sponsor/donor, or purchase a flag to honor the hero in your life. Monies raised will be used to send junior enlisted military home for the holidays at Joint Base McGuire Dix Lakehurst through the Mercer County Military Action Council.
