Thanks to a little warmth, time, one of our operators and his track loader, and Alger SORVA bringing their Bison over to pack down our badly drifted areas, we were able to get a full pass in last night to start recovering the trail after the blizzard. The temp never dropped enough to be able to actually groom the snow, so it ended up being more of a panning run. Our previous post showcased our experience with the tunnel under 41 last night and how serious we are about making sure we get the job done. We couldn’t do it without driven individuals who drop everything to come running. Even those from other clubs who always make time when the SOS call goes out. With that said, we thank each and every individual and club across the state who goes the extra mile when needed. That even includes landowners and residents that step up when things get crazy. It takes a lot to keep trails open and if it weren’t for those that step up, we wouldn’t have them. The trail will not be smooth until we get a run with low enough temps, but it will be flat enough to not be miserable. With a couple weeks left in the season, I do not see too many more opportunities to run with the current temps, but we will be out as much as the temps allow to get through the season. Ride right and ride safe!
