Fun story, the local sock company, NEU, asked for submissions/stories on your car that they would turn into a sock. The idea was to find out why you had or love your car. They chose
Here is the link to their design. If you purchase a sock from them with our design, a portion of the money goes to The Madson Foundation. Here is my submission and the link.

"My late wife, Sherri, and I had always owned, bought and sold hot rods from when we were first married in 1981. Our first car together was a yellow 1964 Impala SS (included in photos). Eventually the engine block cracked and it was sold in 1982. Fast forward to 1993 when we bought our last hot rod, a 1966 Chevelle (attached also). We sold the Chevelle in 2008 to help fund our new home. In 2018 Sherri was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer from Chrones Disease. She fought hard for almost a year before it got her. She passed away Feb. 4, 2019. Before she passed away, one of our sons, Kaden, gave her a great Christmas gift. He started an educational foundation to provide a scholarship to a Bear River and Box Elder student, because Sherri was a 24 year educator there, including the last 3 years as a middle school counselor.
After she passed away, I went looking for a hot rod like we started with or finished with. I ended up finding this beautiful red 1964 Impala SS, just like we had in 1981. It was red, her favorite color, but here's where it gets fun. I found out that this car came off the production line the fourth week of April, 1964. Sherri was born the fourth week of April, 1964. The exact month, week and year as Sherri. I had just found !!
The Impala has become the mascot for our charitible foundation, www.madsonfoundation.org, and anytime we do anything for the foundation it goes along, including when we present the scholarships to the students. (They get to drive the car!!) To date we have donated or contributed about $16,000 in scholarships, goods and services. You can see more on our page, Madson Foundation. We'd love to be the recipient of this offer due to the nature of our foundation and the tie in to Sherri's memory.
Thanks!
