Tremont is open for business!

09/16/2026

The Commerce Association was excited to host ribbon cuttings for two new businesses in town, Free Bird Flowers & Gifts, and Yesterdays Treasures. Both have opened their shops in the 100 block of South Sampson within the past year and are wonderful members of our business community. Please join us in celebrating their opening and supporting their continued success!

Free Bird Flowers & Gifts is a full service florist, creating beautiful fresh arrangements for all occasions, and offering delivery service to Tremont and the surrounding area.

Yesterday's Treasures offers a curated collection of vintage and antiques, handmade crafts, gifts, and more!

So so sad to have to cancel all the festivities for tonight in Tremont. ⛈️ But we couldn’t go through a Tremont Turkey Festival weekend without boba lemonades, so starting at 3pm today through Sunday (while supplies last!), you can still sip on Strawberry Shortcake Boba Lemonades!

Regular hours of 6am-6pm will be in effect today, Friday, and Saturday for the festival. Grab your drinks + goodies before you take on the rides, turkey sandwiches, and country store! 🎡🍗🍋

Enjoy the brisket sandwiches you love from Merchant's Night this weekend at Bittners this weekend, just outside of town!

Get out ahead of the storms today and support Gwen!

Due to inclement weather predicted for this evening, the TCA has made the decision to cancel all official Merchant's Night activities. We're so sorry to disappoint - please make an extra effort to support our businesses through the rest of what's looking to be a beautiful weekend!

Don't let the chilly temps this afternoon keep you from the coziest Christmas event in Central Illinois! Bundle up and stay warm, thanks to these ideas:

🔥 find the fire pit at the center of Walnut + Sampson Streets and make yourself a s'more! Thanks to the Fire Dept for keeping the fire going tonight. And thanks to Luke Porritt Edward Jones for providing s'mores kits.
🪑 warm up with indoor seating at the Community Center or inside the Masonic Lodge.
☕ grab a cup of cocoa (free for kids!) from Eli's or coffee at the Masonic Lodge to keep your hands warm.
💌 write a letter to Santa inside the Tremont First National Bank lobby. We hear he might just write back!
