NAME AND PURPOSE
This organization is a private organization known as the African American Heritage Committee (AAHC) and is established in accordance with AFI 34-223. It is a type 3 organization and does not have sovereign immunity as an instrumentality of the US Government. Primary funds are normally generated during Black History Month celebration, but are not limited exclusively to the month of

February. GENERAL PROVISIONS
The AAHC operates on a military base only with the consent of the installation commander. Operation is contingent on compliance with the requirements and conditions of all applicable Air Force regulations.
