Good afternoon, Parents!

We have an exciting opportunity for our military children who have parents that are deployed.

Our MFLC, Mr. Dan, will be advising a new club called Kids Write from the Heart. The group will focus on keeping in touch with a deployed military parent. The materials will make letter writing simple and will encourage children to be creative. Being separated from a parent is never easy for a child, but it is an opportunity to grow and change. Regular contact is key to making sure that children and their parents stay connected during the time of separation, and that they grow and change together.

Our Kids Write from the Heart club will meet Wednesdays at 3:00pm in the Brain Zone beginning May 11. Please sign up at the front desk if your child is interested in this important opportunity.

The Reminder:

The elementary schools on base have early outs this week for grades 1-6. Kindergarten has its regular schedule. Lunch will be served after school on the minimum days, starting at the respecting release times.

For SCANDIA- Tuesday, Thursday and Friday are minimum days at Scandia. Students will be released at 12 noon on these days. Wednesday is a regular common planning day with release at the normal time of 1:15pm.

For TRAVIS- Tuesday, Thursday and Friday are minimum days at Travis. Students will be released at 11:40am on these days. Wednesday is a regular common planning day with release at the normal time of 1:05pm.
