Fire Marshal Fritz & Fire Inspector Steichen spent a good part of the morning working with TCLP staff. Fire extinguishers are more complex than an untrained person might believe. It is worth noting that a significant number of extinguisher users experience difficulties, inability to discharge, and/or improper usage if not trained!

TCFD fire prevention division has the ability to train any size group on the proper use of fire extinguishers. Businesses and organizations within the city limits just need to reach out requesting the service at 231-922-4930.

Today, three members from Local 646 traveled to a Muscular Dystrophy Association event in Lansing. Brothers Thomas, Tolsma, and Vaughan are pictured here with two MDA Ambassadors. The event is held annually to discuss the importance of firefighter fundraising efforts and the impact on those challenged with neuromuscular diseases. If you ever participate in our Fill The Boot fundraising campaigns, it is important to know that every penny we collect goes to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. They help find cures, research new treatments, and improve the lives of those affected.
