to help everyone who comes to seek assistance
with their essential needs.

The Father Fred Foundation is here to ensure that the basic human needs of our neighbors and friends in need are met.We provide food, clothing and household goods, and financial assistance to families in need in our five-county area. In the words of Father Fred himself, we are here to listen, care, share, and above all, provide hope for those who find themselves in difficult times. Our goal is to

ensure that no one in our community falls through the cracks -- and we do all this without accepting any state or federal aid.

A huge thank you to Nolan's To***co and Cigar Bar, the Ancient Order of Hibernians, and everyone who contributed to this year's Father Fred Foundation Cigar Dinner. It was an amazing night filled with great food, ci**rs, music, and libations. The event was a huge success —raising over $133,000, which will go directly to our programs to help individuals and families in need right here in our community.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported the event, including many generous sponsors and donors, Brengman Brothers Winery, Ashton Ci**rs, Iron Fish Distillery, Traverse City Whiskey Co., local chefs, and everyone who came out and enjoyed the evening. Thank you, Nolan's To***co and Cigar Bar and the Hibernians, for all of your hard work and planning. We appreciate all you do for the Father Fred Foundation and our community. 💙💚

Our extra summer food programs BOOST and SHINE kicked off this week! Both programs are designed to help provide healthy food and snacks when kids are out of school and not receiving in-school food benefits. 💙💛🌞

Our BOOST program provides two extra bags of food in our food pantry for guests with school-aged kids.

Our SHINE program, a partnership with Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS), provides free food and hygiene products throughout the summer months to students who lack a fixed, regular, or nighttime residence. Thank you to the Student Support Network (SSN) and the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians for making this program possible. This June, the Father Fred Foundation is honored to be the featured charity at Chateau Chantal's Sunday Funday! Every Sunday, $1 from each glass of wine and every flight served will be donated to Father Fred and will go directly to support our programs.

The SHINE program and the TCAPS Sunshine Bus are entering their fourth year! SHINE, which stands for Summer Health Initiative to Nourish Everyone, is a partnership with Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS) to provide free food and essentials throughout the summer months to students who lack a fixed, regular, or nighttime residence.

The Father Fred Foundation provides the food, and the transportation and other essentials like hygiene products are supported through the Student Support Network (SSN) with funding from the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians 2% allocation.
