Adams Chapter Trout Unlimited The Adams Chapter TU We're right next to the Boardman, and within an hour of the Manistee, Pine, Pere Marquette, Rapid and AuSable Rivers.

Chartered in 1996, the Adams Chapter of TU includes nearly 300 men and women lucky enough to live and/or fish in this beautiful part of the Northwest Lower Peninsula of Michigan. Most of the time we're fishing for trout, though we have steelhead, salmon and even carp fanatics. We endorse catch and release, but if you choose to keep fish, please consider "Limiting your kill rather than killing your

limit." It's a large, diverse, relaxed group with everyone in agreement on one thing: It's all about preserving our cold-water resources.

Spread the word! The Adams Chapter is holding our Fundraising Banquet April 16, 2026 from 5pm-8pm at the Gilbert Lodge at Twin Lakes Park. This is our one and only fundraising event. One hundred percent of all proceeds from the banquet go towards ACTU’s mission statement to conserve, protect, and restore the area’s cold-water fisheries and their watersheds. A limited number of discounted tables of 6 and 8 are available. Stay tuned for more information as we get closer to the event.

With the recent agreement on selling Tippy Dam, along with 12 others across Michigan, Consumers Energy has put the risk of 20,000 bats at stake.

Four species of bats seek refuge inside Tippy Dam from the formidable White-nose Syndrome. Researchers are still uncertain as to how these bats have been able to survive within the dam.

What could happen to the future of this remarkable miracle?
