Impact 100 TC will collectively fund transformational grants in the areas of environment/preservation, education, arts & culture, family and health & wellness in the five county area including Grand Traverse, Antrim, Leelanau, Benzie and Kalkaska. The concept is simple and powerful: Gather a group of dynamic women together to each give $1,000, with the goal of significantly impacting one local organization. The goal is to begin with at least 100 women, each giving $1,000 to become a voting member. This money goes into a grant fund that is given away in our five county region through grants of at least $100,000 each. This is going to be big and we need your help. Come see what IMPACT looks like in action! These are absolutely our favorite and most meaningful opportunities to connect with our WHY!!

Join us for our next Impact in Action event with Habitat for Humanity-GTR, a 2020 Impact100 TC grant recipient.

We’ll hear how our members’ collective giving has helped provide consistent funding to keep homes moving through the building process, bringing Habitat closer to its goal of creating more opportunities for local families.

We’ll also get a firsthand look inside the New Waves Community House, which features the same layout as the family homes in the neighborhood.

Please bring a guest! 🧡 These gatherings are a wonderful way to introduce a friend to Impact100 TC and show them what collective giving can accomplish right here in Northern Michigan.

We look forward to seeing you Thursday, October 15th.

A big thank you to Traverse City Horse Shows! We were so grateful to be selected as one of their 2026 Charity Ticket Partners, and even more excited to receive $8,335 from ticket sales on September 11 & 12!

Thank you to everyone who came out to Flintfields Horse Park and supported us. We hope you had as much fun watching the incredible horses and riders as we did!

We also love the way Traverse City Horse Shows continues to give back to our community. This summer alone, they awarded $50,000 to 11 local charity partners, and we’re very proud to have been one of them.

Thank you, Traverse City Horse Shows, for supporting Impact100TC and so many organizations doing good work throughout our region. 🧡🩵

🎉 THREE GRANTS. $360,000 OF IMPACT.

The votes are in and we have so much to celebrate!!! 🩵🧡

At our 10th Annual Meeting, 360 Impact100 Traverse City members came together to do what this organization was created to do: pool our giving, cast our votes and make a transformational investment in the community we call home.

Together, we awarded three $120,000 grants to:

🍽️ 5Loaves2FishNMI | Health + Wellness
Helping bring more homemade meals, fresh food and care to neighbors experiencing food insecurity.

📚 Friends of the Fife Lake Public Library | Education
Bringing the new Fife Lake Learning Hub to life as a place for learning, technology, connection and community.

🎭 The Bay Community Theatre | Arts + Culture
Expanding what’s possible beyond the movie screen with year-round live performances and community programming.

And this year, in celebration of our 10th anniversary, we’re proud to introduce something new 🙌

Our two additional finalists: Friends of the Betsie Valley Trail and Michigan Indian Legal Services, Inc. will each receive a $3,000 Finalist Recognition Award, honoring the tremendous work, thought and heart that went into reaching the final stage of our grant process.

Because being named one of five finalists from an extraordinary field of nonprofit applicants is something worth celebrating. ✨

And then there’s this….

10 years. More than $3 MILLION invested in nonprofits across our five-county region.

Thousands of lives touched. Dozens of organizations strengthened. And hundreds of women proving what’s possible when we give together.

And we’re just getting started. 🩵🧡

Congratulations to all five of our extraordinary 2026 finalists and thank you to every member, volunteer and nonprofit partner who made this year possible!!!

🍽️ 2026 GRANT FINALIST | HEALTH + WELLNESS

A warm, homemade meal can say so much without saying a word.

That belief is at the heart of 5Loaves2FishNMI, a 2026 Impact100 Traverse City Grant Finalist whose volunteers prepare and deliver nourishing, homemade meals to neighbors experiencing food insecurity and homelessness throughout our region.

Since 2020, they’ve served more than 100,000 meals meeting people where they are, with dignity, compassion and no questions asked.

Their initiative is called Food is the Vehicle, Love is the Answer. And in this case, the vehicle is quite literal.

A $120,000 Impact100 TC grant would provide a new, specially equipped delivery van allowing 5loaves2fish to safely carry more hot meals, fresh food and supplies to more people across Grand Traverse, Leelanau and Benzie counties.

Their current van has carried thousands upon thousands of meals. But with limited capacity, frequent repairs and the realities of Northern Michigan weather, it has become a barrier to reaching more people.

A new van may sound like a practical investment. But imagine what it carries. 🚐 🩵

A hot meal for someone who hasn’t had one.
Fresh food for a family struggling to make ends meet.
A familiar face arriving for someone who may otherwise feel forgotten.

⚖️ 2026 GRANT FINALIST | FAMILY

Imagine facing a legal problem that could affect your home, your children or your safety and not knowing where to turn for help.

For Native families, that path can be especially difficult to navigate. Tribal, state and federal laws can intersect, legal resources can be hard to find, and attorneys with specialized knowledge of tribal law are limited.

Michigan Indian Legal Services, Inc. (MILS) is working to change that.

Their proposed initiative, Gikendaasowin Guide: The MILS ChatBot and Legal Navigator, would create a culturally grounded, easy-to-use resource designed to help Native individuals and families find trusted legal information and understand what to do next…any time of day, from wherever they are.

With a $120,000 Impact100 TC grant, MILS would build a tool accessible by phone or computer, through voice or text, that translates complicated legal information into understandable guidance and connects people with the resources and human support they need.

The project would begin with citizens and families of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians in our region, with the potential to eventually expand the model to serve Native communities throughout Michigan.

🌿 2026 GRANT FINALIST | ENVIRONMENT, PRESERVATION + RECREATION

The Betsie Valley Trail stretches 22 miles through some of Benzie County’s most beautiful landscapes but enjoying the trail should be possible for people of all abilities. Friends Of Betsie Valley Trail Friends of the Betsie Valley Trail is a 2026 Impact100 Traverse City Grant Finalist for its Trail Access Accessibility Project, designed to remove barriers at a key trailhead and create a more welcoming, independent way for people with mobility challenges to access the trail.

A $120,000 Impact100 TC grant would help transform the existing gravel trailhead with ADA-compliant van-accessible parking, a paved pathway connecting directly to the trail, improved parking surfaces and an accessible restroom.

The impact is especially meaningful for organizations like Joy-2-Ride Benzie, which uses adaptive cycles to give people with disabilities the opportunity to experience the trail. Today, accessibility at the trailhead itself remains a barrier. These improvements would make it easier for participants to arrive, unload and access the trail more independently.

📚 2026 GRANT FINALIST | EDUCATION

In a rural community, a library can be so much more than a place to check out a book.

It can be where a student finds reliable Wi-Fi to finish an assignment. Where a senior gets help navigating technology. Where a job seeker prints an application. Where a child discovers a love of reading. And where neighbors have a place to simply gather.

Friends of Fife Lake Public Library is a 2026 Impact100 Traverse City Grant Finalist for Room for Community: The Fife Lake Learning Hub.

As part of a larger library expansion, the project will create a new 2,280-square-foot Learning Hub serving Fife Lake and surrounding rural communities. A $120,000 Impact100 TC grant would take that new space from built to fully activated providing the furnishings, technology, accessibility features, learning equipment and tools needed to welcome the community from day one.

And the need is already there. The library serves residents across nine townships and four counties, with 1,777 cardholders….nearly equal to the entire year-round population of Fife Lake Township.

This is what access to education can look like in a rural community: close to home, open to everyone, and built to bring people together. 🩵

🎭 2026 GRANT FINALIST | ARTS + CULTURE

For more than 75 years, The Bay Theatre has been a place where people gather. Now, The Bay Community Theatre has a vision for what comes next.

Their proposed Live at the Bay! initiative would transform this beloved Suttons Bay landmark into a fully equipped, year-round venue for live performances and shared community experiences expanding what’s possible beyond the movie screen.

A $120,000 Impact100 TC grant would help bring that vision to life with professional sound and lighting, live-event technology and critical infrastructure improvements. The result? More concerts, comedy, speakers and community programming without the expense and limitations of renting equipment for each event.

And the impact reaches beyond entertainment. The Bay already welcomes thousands of people each year, supports programming for students and seniors, partners with local organizations and provides a year-round gathering place in Leelanau County. Expanding live programming would help The Bay reach even more people while creating a stronger, more sustainable future for the theatre itself! ✨

More connection. More shared experiences. More reasons to keep the lights on. 🩵
