Despite some positive movement in some areas at the table today, the employer fell far short of a realistic proposal.

What they offered was extremely unfair and intended to DIVIDE us. But we are ALL valuable and we ALL deserve to make competitive wages. Not just some.

Your bargaining team has scheduled dates to negotiate and intend to continue to work towards an agreement.

Solidarity alert! 🚨 98.7% of PECSH-MNA (University of Michigan Health-Sparrow) members voting said YES to authorize a strike! Nurses and healthcare professionals are sending a strong message to the employer that they’re united and ready to do what it takes to get a fair contract.

So far, U of M Health-Sparrow executives’ offers have been woefully inadequate. It’s time to show them that our community has our back just like we have yours!

Solidarity with our siblings at UM Health Sparrow Hospital. Please share and show your support

We are the registered nurses and healthcare professionals of UM Health-Sparrow Hospital.

Since early August, we’ve been working hard to negotiate a fair contract with our Employer. With discussion heating up, we’re reaching out for support from the community we’re honored to serve.

Competitive wages are essential to recruiting and retaining the nurses and healthcare professionals needed to ensure safe, quality care for you and your loved ones. However, our Employer is proposing a contract that would result in some of us facing pay cuts, and they have refused to work with us on critical measures to protect all of us - staff, patients, and visitors - from violence.

We humbly believe that our community values nurses and healthcare professionals more than that.

According to Huffman and Jackson police, this happened last night on the corner of E. Michigan Ave. and S. East Ave. just before midnight. UAW members have reported that one of the drivers was possibly impaired.
