My heart is so full of love at the moment.
There is a "Unique" lady that lives in our neighborhood. She walks her basset hound twice a day, no matter what the weather is, raining, snowing, sunny days. It doesn't matter, she is out there!
She lives to do arts and crafts. She makes things and sells them to everyone to make money for more craft things. We always support her!
A month or so ago we were talking about what we were doing for our trees for Christmas. She said she was looking for a pink tree so she can make a memorial tree for all her dogs that have passed. I thought that was such a great thing to do. And if you know me, you know I always change my colors every year. I have never did the same color on my tree twice. I jave over 10 different trees. Some different colors, short trees, tall trees, slimline. You name it, I have it, for the most part...lol
Last year Menards had 3 special 6 foot trees in purple, teal, and pink! Of course I had to buy them!!!
While talking to Lori about getting a pink tree, I told her that I had one she could borrow to make whatever she wanted to do for Christmas. She asked if she could use it until Easter. Well, of course I was going to say yes!!!
Today when I got home, I found a bright pink envelope in my mailbox. I knew who iy was glfrom by the writting on it. I opened it up, and found a Thanksgiving card with a letter in it with 21 candy canes that she made!!! So, I think Lori picked my color/s this year. I will be doing red and white!!! I just couldn't believe she made those for me!!! She also included a picture of the tree.
I think Santa is going to be extra special with craft supplies for her this year!!
So, I just wanted to show you about how little kindness goes a long way! That is why I do what I do with Unique Friends. So people like Lori knows that she is accepted. Everyone in the surrounding neighborhood watches out for her and her basset Nakoma.
Lori never asks for anything, and making crafts makes her feel really good.
So, keep Lori and other "Unique" people in your thoughts over the holidays. Lori lives by herself, so we are her family.
