Launch of Pink October Activities in - Gaza Strip -

Our deepest respect and appreciation to a woman whose heart has always remained deeply connected to her homeland through love, compassion, and giving — and who continues to move forward with determination, without weariness or hesitation.
To our people in the Gaza Strip…
To every woman there who tries to hide her own pain while carrying the weight of another — living through war, displacement, uncertainty, destruction, fear, hunger, and thirst…
And to every patient waiting for medicine…
for an examination…
or simply for a chance to receive treatment…
This “Pink October,” we are not here merely to speak to you about illness.
You already know pain more deeply than our words could ever describe.
We are here today to say — and to assure you:
You are not stories we tell in October and forget when the month is over.
To us, your health, dignity, and access to care are both a right and a responsibility.
This is why our message at Watan – The Seeds of Love – USA, together with our partners at Salamtak Towards Hope and Peace Association, and under the honorary patronage of the Governor of Ramallah and Al-Bireh, is that “Pink October” must never become simply a seasonal campaign or a passing event.
It must become a journey in which:
Awareness becomes action…
Education becomes prevention…
Early detection becomes part of our culture…
Knowledge becomes practice…
And practice becomes a sustainable system that continues long after October has ended.
And so, despite all the pain, we say to every woman and every man facing illness in Gaza:
We may not be able to take away all your pain…
We may not have the power to change this entire reality…
And we know that we may not be able to reach many of you…
But we can — and we must — refuse to leave you alone in facing it.
This is our commitment and our promise before God and before you.
For as long as we have the strength and whatever resources are available to us, however limited they may be, we will continue…
To spread awareness…
To stand beside patients…
To build capacity for sustainability and empowerment…
And to search for every possible path that can help restore a person’s right to treatment, hope for a better life, and the dignity every human being deserves.
Once again…
For us, “Pink October” is not simply a color we display on a wall…
And you are not images for a campaign that disappears when October ends.
It is a commitment we have chosen to make — to stand beside every human being and defend their right to live with dignity and with their full human rights, especially the right to healthcare and treatment.
We know our resources are limited…
And we know that the suffering is greater than what any one organization — or even all of us together — can overcome.
But we refuse to allow our limitations to become an excuse for silence.
And so today, we renew our promise:
We will not remain silent.
We wish every patient a full and speedy recovery, and safety and protection from harm for all.
