June 21 Day 173:
My Blog #173

May "Abba" God the Father, and of God the Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, redeemer and resurrection, and the life and the God the aHoly Spirit give their blessings of Glory, Grace, and Mercy to those who Worship, give praises and adoration to our
Messiah!

"DON'T FORGET TO REMEMBER"

LOOKING BACK:

The Psalms (we) you have read this past week ask and answer some of the intriguing why questions everyone is tempted to ask
from time to time:

Q. Why do the wicked seem to get away with murder (Psalm 7)?

Q. Why has God seemingly rejected us? (Psalms 74-77)

Q. Why is God so patient with His people (psalm 78)?

Q. Why do the pagans question God's very existence (Psalm 79)?

Q. Why does judge His people (Psalm 80)?

Q. Why does God sometimes seem to hide His face (Psalm 88)?

The answers are as clear as the character of God.

He is eternal (Psalm 90),
Omnipotent (91),
Majestic (93),
Righteous (97),
Compassionate, gracious (103),
Creative (104),
and Promise-keeping (106).

In short, "The Lord is God (100:3),
and to Love Him and Fear Him is to unlock many of the
secrets of this life and the next (103)!

"THE PERSON WHO WILL NOT COMMAND HIS OR HER
THOUGHTS WILL SOON LOSE COMMAND OF HIS OR HER
ACTIONS!"

LOOKING UP:

Try this pop quiz on important bits of trivia:

1. When is your spouse's (or mother's birthday)?
2. What is your social security number?
3. If you have a will, who is your executor?
4. If you have a safe-deposit box, what is its number?
5. When were the batteries last changed in your smoke
detectors?

When it comes to important information, the best advice is also
the simplest:

DON'T FORGET!

Perhaps you are in the habit of writing down important birthdays
or anniversaries on a master calendar. . .keeping important documents in a special place . . . changing the batteries in your smoke detectors whenever your clocks to (or from) daylight saving
time!

The Psalmist David has a similar reminder for you in (Psalm 103).
He wants you to remember who God is (His attributes). . .what he has done (His activities). . .how well He knows you (His omniscience) how much He is in control (His sovereignty). . .and how worthy He is to be praised, But none of that information will
do you any good if you don't remember it!

LOOKING AHEAD:

Think of (Psalm 103) as a mother lode of Golden Truths about
the God you serve.

It takes only a few minutes of meditation and reflection to
discover shimmering bits of insight about the greatness of your
God.

TRY IT!

Take the next five (5) minutes and see how many of these statements you can complete, using the words you have read in
(Psalm 103)!

Don't forget. . .what God has done:________________________________
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
_______________________________________________________________________

Don't forget . . .what God is like:___________________________________
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Don't forget. . .what God is not like:________________________________
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Don't forget. . .how much God loves you:__________________________
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Don't forget. . .how well god knows you:__________________________
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Don't forget. . .how much God is in control:_______________________
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Don't forget. . .how worthy God is to be praised:__________________
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

And lest you forget what you have just remembered, tie a string around your finger (or place a ribbon on the antenna of your car).

And then someone asks you what the string or ribbon is for (and they will), be ready to give an answer for the hope that is in you!
(1 Peter 3:15)!

PSALMS 104-106:
"GROWING OR GROANING? (PSALM 106)"

THE OVERVIEW OF HIS WORD:

In Book IV of Psalms closes with three (3) majestic portraits of God. He is the powerful God of creation, (Psalm 104), a psalm that closely parallels the creation account of Genesis 1); He is the faithful God of the covenant, who formed a mighty nation out of people in bo***ge, (Psalm 105); he is the long-suffering God, who patiently disciplines but never deserts the objects of His love--a stiff-necked
people, (106)!

Psalm 104:
"The Fullness of God's Creation"
God of Power

Psalm 105 Psalm 106:
"The Faithfulness of God to His People"
In their Foundation, In their Failures
God of Patience

"USE THE PAST AS A SPRINGBOARD, NOT A SOFA"

(OUR) YOUR DAILY WALK WITH GOD:

Memories, and live fire, can both bless with warmth and burn
with searing heat.

As (we) you look back over the first half of this year,

Q. Do Your Memories give you more pleasure or pain?

Probably you experienced a bit of both sensations. As the psalmist reviewed Israel's history, he delighted in the faithfulness of
God, who never failed His people, and despaired over the
faithfulness of Israel, who repeatedly disobeyed God.

The nation's history speaks eloquently of the pain of waywardness and the persistence of God in guiding His people down the path of
righteousness and blessing!

Q. If you were asked to write "The History of My Life: Part 1,
would it read like Psalm 106?

Q. Would it include pleasant memories of God's Provision and
painful memories of your Rebellious moments?

Q. Have you thanked God for the former?

Q. Have you experienced God's forgiveness for the latter,
(1 John 1:9)?

Q. And have you learned a lesson in the process?

Q. Or are you--like the Israelites in (Psalm 106) --repeating your
errors and forfeiting God's blessings?

Let's find a few minutes to take a quiet walk alone today, with just
God and your thoughts for companions.

Reminisce over the first six (6) months of this year; the good times (Thank Him for them) and the bad (Confess your rebellious
moments to him).

Ask God to help you grow wiser--not just older--for the rest of
the year!

THE INSIGHT OF HIS WORD:
"A Psalmist's Paraphrase of Genesis 1:1-2:3)"

In (Psalm 104) closely parallels the seven (7) days of creation
found in (Genesis 1-2).

Now, let's read through both passages side by side and notice
how each section of the psalm acts as a free translation of
the corresponding passage in Genesis.

Q. Can you match up all seven (7) days of creation?

THE OF THIS BLOG #171:

Now, on our next blog #173 will discuss and study and read the
passages of the Holy Scriptures.

Take care and God Speed to all our members, and viewers all
over the world, and our followers of this ministry!

06/20/2023

May "Abba" God the Father, and of the Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, the Resurrection, and the Life and Redeemer, and of the Holy Spirit give their Blessing of Grace and Mercy to all who believe in Him unto the Salvation and Eternity and give Glory to God.

June 19 Day #171:
My Blog #171

Psalms 98-103:
"A Joyful Noise"

THE OVERVIEW OF HIS WORD:

Perhaps there is no other than the six (6) Psalms pictures of God's praiseworthy character as graphically as the ones in today's
reading and study.

God in His righteousness, (Psalm 98), in His exalted place of authority, (99), and in His everlasting Mercy, (100), demands and
deserves admiration and adoration by His people.

In view of God's character, the psalmist pledges his obedience, (101), expresses his dependence, (102), and acknowledges his
gratitude for God's rich blessings, (103)!

Psalm 98:
"Singing God's Justice"
Reverence

Psalm 99:
"Speaking God's forgiveness"
Reverence

Psalm 100:
"Shouting God's Faithfulness"
Reverence

Psalms 101-103:
"Living Life Gracefully"
Response

"WHERE THE BENEFITS RECEIVED ARE INFINITE, THE PRAISES
CANNOT BE TOO EXTRAVAGANT!'

(OUR) YOUR DAILY WALK WITH GOD:

(We'll) you'll notice that in (Psalm 98:4) (and again in 100:1) (we) you are not required to make a piece of beautiful music but only a
joyful shout to the Lord.

Even monotones can vocalize their praise to the Lord!

The writer of (Psalm 98), knew what rejoicing in the Lord meant.

Q. Have (we) you learned his secret?

When God has done something wonderful in (our) your life, when (we) you are bubbling over with appreciation for His mighty
deeds,

Q. How can you express your Joy?

Q. How can say thank you to God in a way that befits His
majesty and splendor?

Answer:

You can sing! "Sing to the Lord a new song,. . .Shout for joy to the Lord,. . .make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp
and the sound of singing" (vv.1,4-5).

One thing you can take with you throughout the day is a song.

Spend the next few minutes singing dome of your favorite
hymns or choruses.

Think about the word as you sing them. You'll have a song in
your heart all day!

THE INSIGHT OF HIS WORD:
"Praise Expressed full circle"

In (Psalm 103), David constructs a "CIRCLE OF PRAISE" in which
the entire universe breaks forth in a doxology to God:

1. Himself: "O' my Soul" (vv. 1-5)
2. The people of Israel (vv. 6-18)
3. The Angels (vv. 19-22)

Finally, David ends where he began:

"Praise the Lord, O' my soul!"
