With the Anniversary of D-Day soon approaching on June 6, 2026, I wanted to post this for all Scouts and leaders so we will never forget. A big thank you to the Greatest Generation!!!

While the invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944, usually termed D-Day, did not end the war in Europe—that would take eleven more months—success on that day created a path to victory for the Allies. The stakes were so great, the impact so monumental, that this single day stands out in history.

Pack 3212 was invited to help with Military flags on Friday 22nd to the Altamont Memorial Day ceremony. For many of the Cubs it was their first time doing this. We are so proud of our young cubs and how much they have learned. Great job!

This morning, Scouts from Troop 12 and Pack 3212 had the honor of placing flags on the graves of our nation’s heroes at Chattanooga National Cemetery. 🇺🇸
While our Scouts traditionally place flags on veterans’ graves throughout our local communities each year, this was the very first time either unit has participated in this special event at the National Cemetery. It was a humbling and meaningful experience for everyone involved.
Walking row by row among thousands of brave men and women who served our country was a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made for the freedoms we enjoy every day. Our Scouts took great care and pride in ensuring each veteran was remembered and honored.
We are incredibly proud of these young men and women for giving their time this morning in service and remembrance. May we never forget those who gave so much for our country. ❤️🤍💙

Huge thanks to several members of Troop 12 and Pack 3212 this evening. They were determined and committed, rain or shine, to placing Tracy and Monteagle flags on Veteran’s graves! Great job scouts!!!

Troop 12 and Pack 3212,
We will meet at the Legion this evening at 5:00 to prepare for placing flags on Tracy and Monteagle’s cemeteries. Instructions will be given before we head out. Please be prepared for rain. Bring a water bottle for hydration.
