Hello Campus Hills Neighbors –
Campus Hills is ready to celebrate the 4th of July with pride, gratitude, and community spirit. As we mark the 250th anniversary of the United States, we will once again place flags on the grassy area along the roadway in front of each home. During the week of July 4th, Campus Hills will proudly distribute America 250 flags as a festive way to honor this historic milestone and celebrate the ideals of freedom, unity, and hope that bring neighbors together.
Imagine our neighborhood filled with color, joy, and connection as families, friends, and neighbors come together to celebrate. This special occasion is an opportunity to honor both our nation’s history and the rich diversity of the people who make Campus Hills such a welcoming place to call home. With flags from each country encircling the Campus Hills sign on Goucher Blvd., we can create a beautiful display that reflects the many backgrounds, stories, and traditions that strengthen our community.
This celebration is intended to be welcoming and inclusive to all as we honor our shared home and community. If you would prefer not to have a flag placed on your property, please feel free to let us know by sending a message to [email protected] no later than June 20th. We sincerely respect and honor each resident’s preferences.
And the fun keeps rolling with our traditional Annual Fourth of July Parade on Saturday, July 4th—so break out your brightest red, white, and blue and get ready to celebrate in style!
Get ready for a morning packed with smiles, sparkle, and small-town fun at the Campus Hills Community Parade! Kids, neighbors, friends, and visitors are all invited to join the excitement. Decorate your bicycles, wagons, tricycles, scooters, or even your pets in your most festive red, white, and blue, and come show off your patriotic flair as we fill the neighborhood with laughter, color, and community spirit.
Be sure to arrive early—the excitement begins at 09:15 a.m. at the Bowling Alley on Southwick Drive, and the parade steps off promptly at 09:30 a.m. Come early, wave hello to neighbors, and get ready for a joyful ride through the community!
Whether you march, ride, stroll, or cheer from the sidelines, everyone is welcome to join the fun! Bring your flags, your biggest smiles, and your neighborhood spirit as we celebrate together along the parade route (see Parade Route). Let’s make this a morning full of happy memories, festive outfits, and plenty of red, white, and blue magic for the whole community to enjoy!
And finally, get ready to cap off this incredible Independence Day with the spectacular Annual Towson Fireworks on Saturday, July 4th, beginning at approximately 9 p.m. at Loch Raven Technical Academy (8101 LaSalle Road)!
Did you know Towson Fireworks are not funded by Baltimore County? This cherished tradition happens only because of generous neighbors, community associations, local businesses, and supporters like you. Each year, the Campus Hills Community Association contributes $369—just $1 per home—but it takes many gifts from across the community to make this celebration possible. Every donation, large or small, helps light up the sky and keep this beloved tradition alive for families throughout Towson.
Please consider making a donation today and help bring this exciting community tradition to life. Make checks payable to TCA, write “Fireworks” in the memo line, and mail them to Towson Communities Alliance, P.O. Box 5421, Towson, MD 21285-5421. Together, we can make this year’s fireworks celebration brighter than ever!
