Law Mock Trial Competition is taking place February 25-27, 2027 in Arlington, VA at the Hilton Arlington.

About the competition:

There will be three rounds of registration held for this event. The first round opens at 12 PM Eastern on Monday, October 19th and will remain open for one week. Chapters may register only ONE team per round of registration. If your chapter plans to bring more than one team, you may register them in future registration rounds. After 24 teams have registered, we will start a wait pool.

Amanda “AJ” Villmer served P.A.D. as a chapter officer, District Justice, and mentor to hundreds of law students.

Her commitment to helping members continues through the AJ Villmer Grant. Established by her mother, Nancy Villmer, and her friend, John Miquel, the Foundation grant helps law students cover travel, lodging, or registration expenses to attend P.A.D. Convention.

It is one example of how members’ generosity creates opportunities for others to learn, connect, and grow.

They came to Indianapolis as strangers and left as family. We selected 15 law students from around the world to join us in Indianapolis, and what you built together went far beyond what we imagined. The memories, the community, the laughs, and the support you poured into one another have been unmatched.

This is an opportunity to honor the people who helped us along the way and support opportunities for other members. Our goal is $30,000 to support scholarships and grants, leadership development, educational competitions, and chapter programs.

The connections that built P.A.D.

Phi Alpha Delta’s roots reach back to the Law Student League, formed by law students in Illinois in 1897. The relationships they built helped lay the groundwork for P.A.D., formally established in Chicago on November 8, 1902.

Over the decades, P.A.D. grew into a professional law fraternity connecting generations of students, attorneys, judges, and educators through friendship and service.

The Phi Alpha Delta International Foundation helps carry that work forward through scholarships, grants, and support for programs that help members learn, lead, and serve.

Join us November 8 through 14 for Raise the Gavel, beginning on Founders’ Day, as we celebrate our history and support its future.
