FAQ: How much time does it take to be a Voices for Children Volunteer? 💙
New advocates complete about 30 hours of training (typically in the evenings) before being matched with a child.
Once assigned, volunteers spend an average of 7–10 hours per month connecting with the child and supporting their case.
We ask for a one-year commitment, but many volunteers stay involved for years because of the impact they make.

They get to know the child, connect with key people in their life, and advocate for what they need, both in and out of the courtroom.
