The Futuro Latino Learning Center (FLLC), which opened on the Goucher campus in 2009, is a strong example of college-community collaboration through the cultivation of practical skill development, and the advancement of language skills and intercultural awareness. The center offers a wide range of educational programs that respond to the needs and interests of the Latino community in the area. The

participants are able to receive ESL and basic computer-literacy training, as well as the opportunity to practice their conversation skills, all of these programs free of charge. The "Kid's Play Program" and the "Cultural Heritage Program," allows the participant's children to keep in touch with their Hispanic Heritage while their parents are working to reach their own educational goals. The FLLC has more than tripled its participant attendance since its founding in 2009, from 30 participants in 2009 to more than 200 participants in 2020.
