With heavy hearts, TurnAround grieves for the victims, families, and community members impacted by the Highlandtown mass shooting on October 15.

In partnership with Living Classrooms’ Operation Respond, our team immediately mobilized to provide crisis support, resources, and trauma-informed care to those affected. TurnAround’s CAPS (Community Advocacy and Prevention Services) team were on the ground supporting families and community members during this difficult time.

Our thoughts remain with everyone impacted. Healing takes time, and TurnAround remains committed to standing with our community every step of the way. đź’ś

Survivors deserve better.

TurnAround’s Program Director, Tania Araya, recently spoke with WBAL-TV about the need for strong, survivor-centered responses to sexual assault reports on college campuses. 

Since the Cornell case became public, TurnAround has seen a 20% increase in calls from sexual assault survivors, highlighting the ongoing need for support, accountability, and access to services. 

We are grateful to see Governor Wes Moore taking action to review how Maryland colleges and universities respond to sexual assault reports.

Last week, Governor Wes Moore announced record funding to fight child poverty through the ENOUGH Initiative.

TurnAround is proud to receive Fiscal 2027 ENOUGH (Engaging Neighborhoods, Organizations, Unions, Governments and Households Initiative) funding to break down systemic barriers, strengthen family stability, and build a brighter future for the children of Dundalk, an east Baltimore community.
