The Institute For Days Spent Making (IDSM) is an annual residency that fosters artistic and intellectual growth through core values of creativity, support, curiosity, vulnerability, and critical inquiry. Every summer, Makers focus on individual projects, explore serendipitous collaboration, gather inspiration from site-specific programing, and learn and teach through a variety of workshops. IDSM a

cts as a refuge from restrictive daily routines. The residency provides the opportunity for Makers to cultivate ephemeral work-spaces and create meaningful connections. Makers are thinkers, artists, creatives, tinkerers, academics, educators, scientists, inventors, and writers. Committed to interdisciplinarity as a vehicle for integrated understanding and informed ways of knowing, the Institute welcomes participants with diverse specialties, interests, education, backgrounds, and needs. Friends, Followers, and Makers.

I wanted to let you all know that the Institute for Days Spent Making will not be in residence this summer. The administrators are taking some time for long-range planning and thinking ahead to awesome future times. We'll be sure to keep you up to date on all new and exciting developments. Our website is still a great place to keep yourselves up to date.
