We are so proud to support the brave men and women of the McIntosh County Volunteer Fire Department - especially those at Shellman Bluff Fire Dept-Station 3 and Harris Neck volunteer Fire Department who serve our communities in the North County. 💪🚒
Thank you to The Darien News for the write up on the McIntosh County Volunteer Fire Department. We appreciate the support and helping shine a light on what our volunteers are working hard to accomplish for our community.
One of our main goals right now is working to lower ISO ratings in McIntosh County to help save homeowners money on insurance. A lot of work goes on behind the scenes that many people never see. From training, equipment maintenance, grant writing, improving communications, and making sure our firefighters have proper gear, it truly takes a team effort. Thank you B.j. Comer II for helping find grants and helping with paperwork.
Our department was short on turnout gear, and thanks to grants along with the support of Friends of Shellman Bluff, we have been able to purchase much needed new turnout gear for our firefighters.
We also want to give a huge thank you to Kyle Turner for donating a fire truck to the department. Support like this makes a big difference for our firefighters and our community.
A big thank you as well to Piggly Wiggly in Eulonia for donating a pallet of water for our firefighters. The support we receive from our community is hard to put into words, and we truly appreciate every person and business that stands behind us.
We are proud of our volunteers and thankful for everyone who supports the fire department and helps us continue moving forward.
